Also this is technically the 30th chapter posted.

Writing this chapter again for a second time cuz the first one was shit. Yay 🙃
  

    Lately, Blueberry had been texting Dream every morning, to make sure that his friend was okay. Even if it was just a simple 'good morning', Blue would text Dream.
   He knew how Dream liked to keep his problems to himself, but under all the gossip that was going around the Multiverse about Dream and Nightmare, and with Dream's stalkers acting almost worse than before. If possible. Blueberry understandably couldn't help but worry about his friend.
   By that point, Blue trusted Nightmare to take care of Dream, and keep him safe, but he still wanted to be there if Dream ever needed him.

   And since Ink was trying to avoid the 'emotional drama' as much as he could, Blue started encouraging Outer to be more involved as well. They'd all talk on a group chat together and talk about whatever.
   Outer would every once in a while mention how sceptical he still was about Nightmare's intentions, and Dream would still avoid talking about his real anxieties to them, but they had fun talking to eachother, and it turned out to be a good distraction for Dream.

   "Blueberry, thank you for coming on short notice." Nightmare walked into the livingroom of Nightmare's castle with Dream clinging to his arm.
   "Of course. And seriously Nightmare, you can call me Blue." Blueberry smiled back at them softly. Nightmare was glad to see Blueberry show up so quickly, until he saw Outer sitting on the couch next to Dust and Killer.
   "What's he doing here?" Nightmare frowned, as Outer desperately tried to ignore Killer's torment as Dust just snickered in amusement to Outer's flustered distress.

   "I asked him to come. I figured Dream might want to see him here to. How about it Dream?" Blue looked to his friend.
   "I'm glad he's here!" Dream smiled while holding back a snicker as he watched Killer flirt and make dirty puns at Outer, giving him a purple blush across his cheeks as he tried to avoid eye contact with Killer and Dust. "It's okay that you don't trust him yet. But I do, and I'll be okay." Dream slid his hand down from Nightmare's arm and held onto Nightmare's hand comfortingly.

   "Fine." Nightmare sighed, "Are you sure that you'd rather stay here?" He asked Dream.
   "I'm sure. I've had enough excitement for now... and facing Shattered again is going to have to be something that you do yourself." Dream told him.
   "That's stupid..." Nightmare grumbled under his breath as Dream pressed his forehead to Nightmare's.
   "Shattered would be too jealous to listen if I showed up with you. He needs to forgive you before you can save him."
   "... I'm scared..." Nightmare whispered quietly to Dream,  hoping that no one else in the room could hear.
   "I know... You always are. It means you care." Dream whispered back to him with a light and comforting smile. He pulled his head away from Nightmare and kissed his cheek before letting go of Nightmare's hand. "Now go get him." Dream lightly pushed Nightmare away and walked over to rescue Outer from Killer.

   "See ya Nightmare!" Blue waved goodbye.
   "My castle better still be in one piece when I get back." Nightmare orders Killer and Dust in a threatening tone as he opens a portal.
   "Love you to ya big soft-! hey!" Killer got elbowed by Dust.
   Nightmare rolled his eyes and walked through the portal to Shattered's Dreamtale.

   The portal closed behind Nightmare, leaving him with nothing but the sound of the wind blowing through the branches of the trees.
   He stood alone in the familiar forest next to his castle. The good thing about visiting AUs that are the same as your own, is that you know where everything is.

   The sound of a bird flew overhead. That meant that Horror didn't live here anymore.

   Nightmare took a breath to ease himself, then started walking toward his castle. He felt Shattered's aura scattered everywhere across the land, it'd be pointless to try and track it. At least Nightmare knew that Shattered had at least been in the area recently. But it was clear that Shattered didn't want to be found if he was still here.
