Monday came around and for the first time Nini was dreading it.Yesterday, she had completed ignored Ricky and his texts but now he would shortly be outside of her house to pick her up,since her mom had to leave early, and she was nervous. She peeked through the window and saw him parking outside so she grabbed her bag and exited the house. She took a deep breath and entered his car offering him a tight lipped smile.
''Good Morning Neens.'' he said smiling.
''Good Morning.''
''Um,were you okay last night?I kept texting you but you left me on read.''he said nervously as he started up the car.
''I was fine,just busy.''
''Busy? With what?'he pressed causing her to roll her eyes.
''Just busy, please drive so we won't miss the first period.''she said annoyed.
''Fine.''he muttered.
An uncomfortable silence settled as he drove them to school, neither trying to break it.When they finally arrived Nini quickly got out of the car and started making her way to the entrance.
'Hey,wait up for me.'she heard Ricky yell. She sighed and stopped so he could catch up with her.As soon as he did she continued her fast pace, with Ricky behind her until they reached their classroom. She took her seat without sparing another glance at his direction, missing the deep frown on his face.
