Chapter 16: The Majestic Twelve

Flashback
Age 5: Y/n's POV:

I was so excited since "dad" let us go to the park! Luther and Allison were playing on the monkey bars, Klaus, Ben, Vanya, and Diego were on the swings talking turns, me and Five were on the slide.

"Come on Five!" I said climbing on the slide.
"Coming!" He was right behind me. I had my favorite teddy bear and pushed it down the slide, I giggled and went down after it. But my teddy bear fell on the sidewalk! I ran towards it and see a man grab it, that was my teddy bear! Five got it for my birthday.

He bent down to my level.
"H-Hello is this your teddy bear?" He asked.
I nodded shyly, he smiled.
"Hey Eight let's play-" Five looked at the man and looked upset he went in front of me.
"That's her teddy bear!"
"O-Oh um yeah sorry." He said shaky.

He gave the teddy bear to Five and then Five turned around and gave it to me.
"Come on Y/n let's go." Five grabbed my hand and walked back to the park.
"Shouldn't we say thank you?" I asked.

"Remember we aren't supposed to be talking to strangers." Five says, I nodded.
"Now let's play family, I'll be the dad, you'll be the mom and the teddy bear is our baby." Five says.
I giggled. "Okay!" I looked back at the man on last time he had (y/e/c) and had dark hair. I feel like I know him maybe!

"Come on Eight! We need to feed our baby!" Five says.
"Coming!"

Five's POV:

Eight, Diego, Lila, and I jumped over the wall and hid behind the a car, looking at all the people who are entering the gala.

"So, what's the plan?" Lila asks.
"We infiltrate, we identify, we extract. Double time." Diego says looking at the building.
"What the hell's he talking about?" She asks looking at me and Eight.
"Find the old man and get out fast." Eight responds.

"That's what I said. On me." Diego leaves.
"After you." Lila says.
Me and Eight give Lila snake eyes.

"What, I can't be polite?"
"Cut the crap." Eight says.
"Hey don't be rude I bought your dress!"
"Listen all right? My dimwitted brother
might buy your bullshit, but we don't trust you for a second."

"O ye of little faith."
"Stick it up your ass." I said. Lila leaves and me and Eight follow behind her.
We entered the building and I take two drinks off the waiter's tray.
"Here love."
"Thanks babe." She takes the drink and took a sip.
"I don't see dad anywhere." Diego says looking around.
"Just keep out for the Majestic Twelve. We got up stairs." I said gesturing to me and Eight.

"Diego try not to do anything too stupid."
I grabbed Eight's hand and we went towards the stairs.
"I get this weird feeling when i'm around Lila." Eight said, I immediately stopped.
"What feeling?!" I said worried.
"Not like butterflies I only get those for you dummy."
I smiled, "Good." We were about to head up the stairs when a slow songs starts Eight and I look at each other.

I smirked and grabbed our drinks and put them down.
"May I have this dance?"
"Five I thought we are going upstairs?"
"Well they can wait for a minute."
She smiles and takes my hand.
"I guess one song wouldn't hurt."
I look her to the dance floor and we started dancing.
"I'm getting déjà vu when we were ballroom partners." Eight says.
