Keri harshly bit down on her lip as she stared at Cam. Tears started to fill her eyes as she processed what he said.

"You can't love someone in only two weeks, Cameron," she said through clenched teeth.

He took a seat, put his head in his hands, and let out a deep sigh. Her arms crossed as she waited for a response.

"It hasn't just been for two weeks," he muttered loud enough for her to hear.

Keri's face flushed with anger and she wiped her tears away. He couldn't possibly serious. If he had loved her for a while, why was she just finding out about it now? Why hadn't he told her sooner? Before she left him?

"Since when?"

"Does it matter?"

"Yes, it matters," a few more tears fell down her cheeks.

"I've known since I was thirteen," his head hung low.

That meant that he had known since the seventh grade. A year before the big split.

"You couldn't have. We were children. We didn't even know what our favorite color was."

He picked his head up, allowing his eyes to meet hers. Her chest tightened, making it hard to breathe.

He was being serious.

"Get out," she breathed. "Leave. Now." More tears flowed from her eyes and she started pushing Cam out of the door.

"You're mad at me for saying that I love you, but you kissed someone else," his eye blazed with anger and confusion.

"You're right. Everything was a big joke. It was just to humiliate you. Now leave." She could barely see through the coating of water on her eyes. Her throat felt tight as she choked on her own words.

He stared at her with wide eyes, mostly surprised of her reaction instead of her words. And without another word, he left.

She slammed the door and sat down in front of it. Her legs felt too weak to sit down on the couch that was a few feet away.

Shutting her eyes, she cupped her hand over her mouth, trying to cover up her cries. Her body felt numb, her tears burned her cheeks, and her dry throat felt like it was closing even tighter.

Why would he say that to her? Why did he even come in the first place? He wanted to argue and tell her that he loved her. All for what?

Keri had never felt more alone in her life. Her boyfriend was gone, which was funny considering they just started dating. She couldn't even talk about this with Rebecca because Rebecca didn't even know about the situation. And if Keri did, Rebecca would have thought she was crazy for getting attached to Cam in the first place.

Keri had no one.

The part that made her the most upset was how she couldn't figure out why she became angry when he said that he loved her.

All of this could have been over. They could have made up and forgotten that any of this had happened.

But she pushed him away and made him leave.

She glanced at her phone, trying to fight the urge to call him. She knew she made the wrong decision to make him leave, but she also knew that she didn't want to hurt him again.

Maybe that was why she pushed him away. She had already hurt him numerous times. Perhaps this time she wanted to avoid putting him in more pain.

She knew that she had to let him go.
