"C-Cam," she sputtered, standing up. "It's not what it looks like."

Cam's jaw clenched and he swiftly began to walk away from her. She chased him until they were outside.

"Cam," she cried, reaching out for his arm. "Just listen to me." Tears blurred her vision. She didn't even have the chance to close her zipper.

They both stopped walking when they reached his car.

"I'm done listening to you," he said through gritted teeth. "Everything that comes out your mouth is a fucking lie. I should have known better."

Keri felt a sharp pain in her chest. Water began to spill out of her eyes as she reached for his hand. He quickly retracted and took a step back.

"I..."

"Was this a fucking game to you? Was this for you and your little friend? Did you want to publicly dump me this time?" His eyebrows were pulled down and his face started to turn a light shade of pink.

"No, I-"

"Save it," he held up his hand. Contempt and disgust crawled onto his face. He started to walk to the driver's side of the door.

"Cameron," Keri sobbed, trying her best to catch up to him in her heels. She grabbed onto his arm again, but he yanked away.

This couldn't be happening. Everything between them was going so smoothly. They had planned on telling everyone about their relationship, including their parents, who would be thrilled. How could her world be turning upside down, in the blink of an eye?

"Did you ever stop and think about everything you've done to hurt me?" Cam's voice was softer, but the expression on his face was still hard.

Keri's mouth opened and she searched for words to say, but she couldn't find any. She wanted to tell him that this was all a misunderstanding, but she had the feeling that he wasn't just talking about what happened in Rebecca's room.

"That's what I thought," he mumbled before opening his car door. Tears spilled out of Keri's eyes and rolled down her cheeks.

"Cameron, I'm sorry." She was finally able to get words out, other than Cam's name, but he had already shut the door. He started the car and pulled off in a rush.

Keri stood in the middle of the street with one hand pressed to her forehead and the other on her hip. Her makeup was ruined due to all of her tears. And her dress was falling down.

Swallowing, she fixed her dress and started to walk to her car. She may have ruined her relationship with Cam once, but she wasn't going to let it happen again.

After getting into her car and driving for about ten minutes, she approached the Walker's house.

Keri knocked on the front door. She had wiped away her ruined makeup and sprayed perfume on herself, so she wouldn't smell like alcohol.

Mason opened the door with his eyebrows pulled down.

"Is Cam here?" Her voice cracked.

"No?" He said it more like a question. "I haven't seen him since he left. Why?"

Frustrated, she ran a hand through her hair. Where could he have gone?

"If you see him, can you tell him that I stopped by?" She turned around on her heel. Getting back into her Mercedes, she sat there for a moment, thinking of places he could have gone.

She then remembered where they used to meet up when Keri was upset with her parents. It may have been a stretch that he was there, but that was the only place she could think of.

She started her engine and pulled off.

About ten minutes later, Keri's Jimmy Choo heels trudged through the mossy padding beneath her. The constant flow of water crashed against rocks. Bugs swarmed everywhere and mosquitos fed off of her sweet tasting skin.

She spotted Cam sitting in the grass, throwing rocks into the stream. Swallowing, she made her way towards him.

"Cam?" A squeak came out of her mouth.

His head slowly turned, and he then looked at her through the corner of his eye. "What are you doing here?" He clenched his jaw once he stopped talking.

"Just let me explain," she pleaded.

He turned away from her, staring out into the distance. She sat down next to him, apathetic to the fact that her dress would be ruined by the mud. Her mouth parted as she went to say something, but soon became distracted by the distraught expression on his face.

"What happened tonight wasn't intentional."

"Really?" A short laugh, with no trace of humor, escaped his lips. He chucked another rock into the water.

Keri swallowed and looked at the ground. "Someone spilled a drink on me, so I went upstairs to change. Rebecca's brother walked in when my zipper got stuck, so he helped me. And before I knew it...he kissed me. When I pulled away, you arrived."

"That's a cute story you fabricated," he turned his face towards her.

Tears slowly started to fall down Keri's cheeks. Lowering her head, she wiped away the water with her thumb.

She should have known her relationship with Cam wouldn't last. Karma had finally caught up to her. God, if only she hadn't been such a bitch to everyone these past few years.

"I'm sorry," she started crying harder, placing her head in her hands. "You have every right to hate me. I hate myself."

Cam's expression had softened. He went to put a comforting hand on her arm, but quickly retracted before he touched her.

"I just wish that I wasn't such a screw up. I got a second chance with you and I blew it," she sobbed, picking her head up.

It was pointless when she started to wipe away the liquid on her cheeks because more kept flowing from her eyes.

Cam placed his hand on hers, not speaking for a moment as she calmed herself. She knew that whatever Cam was going to say wasn't going to be good.
