The Experiment

Chapter 2

I stopped glancing down the hallway for guards as I heard a guard not far from my cell yell" The Experiment has escaped" echoed down the hallway. I hear their footsteps getting closer by the second heading straight for me. 

I ran down the hallway knowing I could not slow down or else they would catch me. I enhanced my speed trying to flee and I started my pattern again of Left, Left, Right, Left, Right trying to remember where the door was from when I first came here three years ago. 

There it was! The door of my prison and the door to freedom. "Ten" I thought as I am about two hundread feet away from it. "Nine" bullets and trained knifes were being thrown at my head and I was nearly one hundred feet now from the door. " eight" A guard jumped out from one of the other hallways blocking my path. 

I jumped did one flip over his head and landed stumbling on. " Seven" I flipped over about ten more guards using my enhanced flexibility and strength straining myself. " Six" Only seventy more feet to go, I speed up even faster. " Five" I barely dodged a guard who jumped out from another hallway. 

"Four" I was so close to freedom, I could see light flickering from the outside. " Three" Almost there,
" Come on, Come on" I thought straining my legs to go even faster.

"Two" There was now about fifty guards who managed to reach the door and was blocking my path. "One" I steeled myself for the sudden impact on the guards bodies but I was not prepared for the hand that shot out of nowhere causing me to crumple on the ground.

I hear a voice which I recognized as the blond scientist." Great it was her" I thought angrily at seeing how close to freedom. " Take Experiment 2081 to it's cell and keep at least five guards with her at all time".

The guards led me through the corridors to my cell that I had just escaped. " Left,Right,Right, Left" I thought as they led me through more corridors.

They stopped me at my cell which I see now has a new door with glistening white diamonds on them." Great" I thought irritably. They open the door and pushed me inside then closed the door and locked it from the outside.

I thought " They really need to learn from their mistakes" and charged at the door. I yelped in pain as my arm hit a diamond and I see that it was healing like it would without having enhanced skills.

" Maybe they do learn from mistakes" I thought as I see the gash on my arm which I think will leave a sizable scar later. My arm was still healing slightly faster than a normal human but not as normally fast.

I sighed and said out loud" Well I guess my only weakness is diamonds great". I sighed and slid down the wall and a sob unbidden escaped my lips at the thought of my freedom snatched away from me just like that again.

I stayed like that for I don't know how long  till the sobs faded and I sat there staring at the plain white walls and the now diamond encrusted door like I was just doing about an hour ago.

" How long did I think of this plan" I whispered " for only it not to work". I stared at the wall till I started to doze off into sleep. I kept popping my head up till I thought " Why not sleep it might ease the pain". Then I finally let sleep come over me.

I woke up to a loud bang at the door. I look up and see a guard entering at a hurried pace. I scamper up seeing his face that meant no nonsense right now. " Come on" he said gruffly.

" What's going on"? I asked. " Intruders he said as we raced down the hall and my arm quickly losing feeling in his death grip. " Stop" The guard whipped around and forced me to turn around. There was five people who look no older than sixteen  four of them was in grey cloths and silver masks.

While the one in the front and by the persons sturdy build I think was male, he was in black clothing from the arms down with a sliver mask likes the others. They all was holding knifes and other weapons including small guns. 

"Make us" the guard said though gritted teeth. The male in the front said calmly even though I see he was getting impatient " At least let her go". My heart did a flip he called me a her not an experiment like they all called me these three years.

"No, Experiment attack them". I stood there rooted to the spot and thought " attack them why?, HA! they don't torture me call me an experiment or just hurt me because they wan't to and I knew my answer then.

I slowly turn to face the guard and I growled out surprising him " No and I moved so fast that I had his knife before he could blink and knocked him unconscious with the butt of the blade. 

I turned to the group and said if you want to get out follow me. The leader nodded and said "lead the way" and then I raced ahead of them with the thought of getting them out of here more then my own freedom and by the way the leader looked at he I think he saw that.
