Iris POV
I slowly turn around to see a girl with auburn colored hair, deep hazel colored eyes and about my age. She was slightly taller as she was around 5'7 and I was 5'5.

"Tresas?!" I managed to choke out.
My mind reeled that she managed to get out of the scientist clutches as I stared at her while the sun left heat waves glowing on her fair skin.

Tresas had that concerned look in her eyes just like when I last saw her before the "incident".

"What happened to you" she said softly.

I breath out and in slowly trying to calm myself, but finding myself looking away.

"Iris?!" My head snapped up to see Nathon and the others looking at me and Tresas.

Tresas got in between me and the others.

"Tresas their friends" I said but she still didn't move staring at the others.

"Who are these people she asked glancing slightly at me as Nathon looked at me.

Jennifer thank her for this broke the tension by asking Tresas to help us find a place to stay while I explained this situation out to them.

Nathon POV

I stared at Iris as we walk back out of town in uncomfortable silence. Iris looked slightly nervous and uncomfortable as she starts to explain.

"It was around my fifth birthday that I met a girl her name was Tresas Waver who was about a year older than me at the park in Fairwater that was nearby my home.

She was walking and we soon got talking and quickly formed a friendship with her and we did everything together.

On my eighth birthday we went out to her parents who worked at a place called Revolution of Science.

I looked as Iris tensed as she continued to struggle through these memories.
...
It was the scientists place and I found out that her parents were guards there, but wasn't included in the plans luckily.

Around the time I was about to turn twelve my dad just was getting a raise but he said that he was about to quit and told me and Tresas that it was to dangerous and in the end a week later Tresas parents were found dead and then I was taken.

So this girl next to the girl I love was her old best friend. Wait do I truly love her. Or is it a phase... I am so confused.

I looked at the others Jennifer and Barbra were both showing understanding but doubt. Daniel was understand but anger was simmering under his calm mask. But Jason was showing fury without any mask to his emotions.

I didn't even know how I felt anymore but I also know that Iris is still new to sharing her past.... so...how could I blame her.

My decision is final I will still love her because that's what she needs but if it will it be the same as before. No but it may become stronger or it will become a family type of love and it will never be romantic only time will tell for Iris and myself.

Iris POV

Tresas was showing us around her apartment that was on the outskirts of the city. You could see the sand dancing on the wind as the sun made a dancing shroud of heat on the pale sand.

Her apartment in general was small three rooms. The living room and two bedrooms with a bathroom inside each. We decided that we would be alright to stay as long as someone stays on watch.
---------------------

I asked to be on watch first so I would be able to clear my head. Jason would take watch around dawn.

I was scared that they would tell me to leave. Sure I still love Tresas as a sister but to me the Resistance was my family now.
