Chapter 5

Iris POV

Iris! Iris! I slowly open my eyes to see Nathon standing over me. Where am I? I thought. Why am I on a table? Why am I not in my cell?

Last night's events soon flooded over my mind and I finally got up. I tried to stand but lost my balance from a concussion I didn't know I got in the fight.

Nathon quickly caught me and sat me down on the infarmary table. " what are my injuries I ask" even though I know they are already healing thanks to my quick healing abilities.

Nathon got a set of papers from the table next to me and started leafing through the pages. "Ok the extent of your injuries are a concussion, sprained wrist, two cracked ribs, multiple stab wounds and a broken ankle.

I nodded and told him " I probably be healed by tommorow morning if all goes well". He nodded and he help me up from the table and we walked out.

Once I reached the main room u see Jennifer and Barbra were sitting in chairs talking about something I couldn't hear. Nathon left me to go talk with Jason and Daniel.

" How are you feeling" Barbra asked. " Fine just in the process of healing. They nodded and we started talking till Nathon, Jason and Daniel came and said that we are at the base.

We all got up and headed for the door when Nathon stops me and brought me out of hearing distance of the others. " So are you ready". I nodded feeling annoyed that he thinks I'm fragile and about to break at any minute, He should know I felt worse. After a long moment he let me go out the door and I see a plain stone building and there was a iron door and to my discomfort encrusted with diamonds.

They all headed to the door but stopped and I slowly walked up to the door but hesitated to go though and they all saw it as well. " Why are you not walking in" Jennifer asked. I sighed and said "watch". I pried a diamond our of the door and opened my palm slicing the diamond on my palm and blood fell and the others gasped.

" My weakness is diamonds" I tell them " it's the one material that can hurt me extremely. They nodded and I walked through the door careful to avoid the diamonds. Then let Nathon pass me and we walked down a grey and white hallway and we walked to the first door and I see that it is a kitchen.

The kitchen looks like a it normally would with a fridge,stove, and cabinets. Their was a small round table with chairs around it and then theirs a small door that leads to the family room.

The family room had a love seat along with two sofas and bean bags that were blue and green next to each other. They all sit but I remain standing and as if reading my thoughts Nathon said " your room is down the hall two the right three doors down.

I nodded and left thinking that they must have been waiting to help me escape for awhile. Once I got to the door I opened it and see that it had plain grey walls. There was a oak desk with a mirror and drawers and a lamp on it's top and other supplies most likely in it's drawers.

The bed had a blue comforter and black pillows and a window hidden from view on the outside most likely was right there where I can see the sky and the plain desert that marveled in it's own beauty. The hot sun made hot ripples in the air and things appeared misty from inside the cool room.

Through the next door was the bathroom. It was pure white with a tub and sink along with a toilet. There was multiple medical supplies along with different shampoo's and body washes.

I quickly strip and turn on the shower moaning happily when the warm water hit my nearly healed wounds. I swath up my hair in shampoo and the scent of lavender filled my nose and it reminded me of my mother and how she always made the house smell like lavender on my birthday. 

I quickly break out of my thought grab a towel and get out of the shower and go back into my room opening the drawers and grab a black shirt with a silver strip and black skin tight pants. Once I was dressed I walked out and stopped outside listening to the commotion coming inside the room. 

" what role should we give her inside the resistance?" 

" What will happen if the scientist find us?"

" What will we do if she betrays us". 

" ENOUGH" Nathon yelled and everyone quieted most likely not used to hearing their leader yelling at them. 

I quietly slip through the door an hide in the shadows to see Nathon looking angrily at them. He looked like he was about to blow so I slipped out of the shadows and shocking them all back to reality. 

" I won't betray you" I said quietly," I never wan't to go back to the lab or prison I like to call it". " not many know what it is like to be tortured, to be treated like a pet, to be a nothing to becoming something again". "You saved me and for that I am externally grateful, if something happens to any of you I would be killing myself on the inside for not putting my self in front of you, giving you a life that I still will never get full back, so if that answers your question I will be leaving". 

With that I left the room leaving very shocked teens inside. I walked back to my room and layed on my bed thinking about how much I will have to do for them to trust me. With these thoughts on my conscious I fell asleep.
