The train where Baji was on stopped at its station.
Another summer has come and he rushed quickly to visit saying goodbyes to his family and friends.
As the train stop and the doors opened, baji slowly walked out with other the other passengers.
Tightening his hold on his bag he catch a ride to his uncles house.
Sky so blue was filled with passing birds as the sun gazed at the earth with intensity. The clouds formed various shaped as it adds layer for the clear sky.
Y/n is leaning in one of the statues as she observe the school uniform Keisuke is wearing.
"Is that your school uniform?" she asked.
The Ebony haired boy pushed his glasses up, as he posed in a well mannered posture. Clearing his throat.
"Yes, I showed you my gang uniform last last year..? Anyways, I wanted to show you my school uniform. Don't i look smart?" he smugly said.
Y/n looked at him fully. His hair was gelled back and there was a big ass glasses that covered his face. He looked uhh......She doesn't know what to say.
"Sure....." she said
"Hah! Alright let's go!" he happily said. Y/n shakes her head and they walked up the stairs.
Lilies filled the sky reflecting river. The flowers fully bloosoming as it floated slowly in every direction.
The singing of croaking frogs filled the air as the two sat by the grass. Bask in the sun enjoying the warmth that they missed.
"You don't come running at me anymore these days" Y/n breaks the silence. Looking at keisuke who was drowning a butterfly in the river.
Keisuke hummed, glancing at her with pouted lips.
"I learned my lesson after all does beatings" he said.
"You're lucky I can't beat the shit out of you" he frowned.
Y/n laughed in response which irked baji, throwing a rock at her. It hit her shoulder, the two went silent as y/n slowly picks up a rock twice as big as the one he throwed which made Keisuke run a marathon.
They chase each other, throwing what they could find.
A rock, stick, wood, dirt, even a frog.
Their chasing died down as they slomp on the ground once more. Heavy breaths leave their mouths.
"Im looking forward to it, In three years, when I graduate, I'll show you my diploma proving that i am smart" Keisuke said.
"Then you'll be proud of me" he continued "And maybe I can convience my mom to let me stay here for a bit longer than summer."
The wind blowed his now lose hair as he watched the sparkling river.
"Sounds good right?" he said.
Y/n stayed silent, he looked at her seeing as she was looking at him in return.
"Baji..let me tell you about my self." she said
Y/n look at the water before sighing.
"I'm not a spirit, but, I'm no longer human." she said
"It seemed like i was once human, but when I was a baby, I was abandoned at this forest."
The sound of a baby crying was echoing throught out the eerie forest. No older than a few months the Baby is in a basket and abonded in the grass.
"I've only just have been abandoned, so i cried helplessly"
The sound of the baby crying attracted many spirits hiding behind trees. Observing the infant that was in the basket.
"As if to call back the parents that left me"
They surrounded the wooden box looking at her with pity. How cruel of those people to left a helpless child to die in a forest, near dangerous animals.
"They said i didn't stop crying for a long time"
A black sluggish spirit held up a fox mask slowly putting it in the child's face. The crying stopped, making the spirits look at each other.
"I should've died then, but the mountain god appeared and cast a spell to allowed me to continue living"
The sluggish spirit lifted up the mask, revealing a curious look plastered at the child's face. When she saw the spirits that looked at her she laughed. They did it agan, and again, and again. As the song of crying stop and was replaced by laughter instead.
"So that I never moved on. I'm like a ghost" she finished. Y/n looked at baji
"Keisuke, It's ok if you forget about me" she looked at her hand " A body that's maintained by magic is very weak" she added.
"If it touches a human skin, the spell will break and the body will dissapear." she sighed. She looked at the sky in wonder.
"Such a fragile thing, how long can yo-"
"Something that dissapeared when touched..." Keisuke interrupted. "Is just like snow isn't it?" he continued.
He stand up pointing at her.
"Y/n, I thought of you during winter. No I though of you during autumn and spring too." he said looking at her as if her mask was not in her face right now.
"So Y/n, Don't forget about me yeah? I'll share my peyoung yakisoba with you if you do" he continued.
Y/n left her heart swell in happiness. She nodded looking away at him.
They both stared at the sky as it moved towards the horizon. Their beating hearbeats strummed in their body, that reach towards the ears of summer.
Time might seperate them someday, but even still, until then, they'll stay together.
