“Oh my god, Aka-chan! Calm the fuck down a bit, will you?”

“How the hell do you expect me to calm down?” Akaashi said as he paced back and forth. “I'm meeting Bokuto in six hours, and I still have no idea what to wear!”

Oikawa howled from where he had been sitting on his bed. “You're not even dating this guy yet. Look how hard you're trying to look good for him already.”

“Shut up, Oikawa!” Akaashi hissed at his friend, glaring at him through his eyelashes. “I'm stressed, nervous, and pregnant with the baby of the man I'm going to meet. Either help me pick an outfit or leave me alone.”

The brunette put his hands up in surrender. “Fine, fine. I'll help you, you mother-to-be. Just get your hormones under control and we'll have no problems.”

Bokuto had texted Akaashi the day after they had talked on the phone, asking him if they could meet up on Friday at 5 in the evening. Akaashi had, needless to say, said it was fine by him and they had agreed on meeting at a small coffee shop which was within walking distance to his apartment. The rest of the week had been pretty uneventful, except for Akaashi paying a visit to the hospital to get a blood test done so he would have medical evidence on his pregnancy when he told Bokuto about it. It wasn't like he thought the Alpha wouldn't believe him, but it didn’t hurt to be prepared for any possibility.

It was now Friday, 11 in the morning, and Akaashi had already thrown up two times out of anxiety. Oikawa had insisted it was because of pregnancy, but Akaashi was sure it was because of the nerves. He couldn't even get a wink of sleep last night, tossing and turning as he kept thinking about Bokuto and the night their baby was conceived. How Bokuto had held him in his arms all night, how his bare skin had touched his as they made love messily, how he had fallen asleep with Bokuto's arms wrapped around his waist and his lips pressed against his neck. That night surely had been magical.

Now he was going to see that beautiful man again, this time with a clear sight and a sober mind. Of course Akaashi was dying of excitement.

“How about this shirt?” Oikawa asked, holding up a light blue dress shirt. “This would totally bring out the color of your eyes. And you can pair them with white jeans. Oh, and white sneakers!”

Bokuto did say his favorite color was blue the day we met. Wearing blue is actually a good idea.

Akaashi took the shirt from his friend and held it over his body in front of the mirror, nodding in approval at the sight. “This seems okay. I'll wear this.”

Oikawa's face broke out into a huge grin. “Would you look at that? There was no need to make this such a big deal now, was there?”

“Yeah yeah, whatever.” Akaashi placed the shirt on his bed, carefully so it wouldn't wrinkle. “Once he gets back from class I'll get Kenma's opinion too.”

“What? Why?” His older friend whined, looking as if Akaashi had sold him down the river. “Do you not trust me, Aka-chan? Why do you need Ken-chan's opinion too?”

“Because I need to look perfect, Oikawa-san. If Kenma also approves that’ll mean I'll have a higher chance.”

Letting out a short sigh Oikawa turned towards the door and started making his way out. “You’ve got it bad for that Alpha already. It's honestly painful to watch.”

Akaashi decided to ignore his friend's comment and just rolled his eyes at him before taking his white jeans out of his wardrobe and placing it beside the shirt on his bed. It came to his mind that none of his clothes were going to fit him when his belly started to swell as he looked over the items on his bed, and he found himself getting excited at the thought. His baby was only a month old, but it was going to grow and his belly was going to get bigger along with the little creature he carried inside. His mind provided him with an image of himself with a huge, swollen belly and it warmed his heart, his lips twitching up into a soft smile. Akaashi might have been a bit young to have a baby, but that didn't mean he wasn't looking forward to giving birth and being able to hold his child in his arms. Being pregnant was the biggest blessing for an Omega, after all.
