Chapter 6

Akaashi's attention was taken off his schoolwork when his phone vibrated with an incoming text. He grunted in annoyance as he reached for the device resting somewhere between the pile of work sheets, ready to snap at whoever it was distracting him from his work. Every single complaint went down the drain when he saw Bokuto's name on the screen though, and he immediately tapped on the notification to read the text he had received.

Bokuto

Hi Kaashi! Miss you so much!

Akaashi’s heart twisted in his chest, and he grasped at his shirt with his free hand as if he could calm it that way. He really adored Bokuto's honesty.

Me

Hello, Bo. I miss you so much as well.

Bokuto and him had been going out on date after date ever since their first one at the restaurant, and Akaashi had gotten way too used to having the Alpha around, to exchanging flirtatious looks and comments every now and then, hence he wasn't easily embarrassed anymore. He could tell him he missed him without his cheeks turning tomato red, at least. He had even given him the nickname “Bo” at some point, which the Alpha had found very adorable and insisted for him to keep using.

Bokuto replied only a minute later, the sudden beeping of his phone making him jump.

Bokuto

Wth, you're so cute.

How are you? How's my lil one?

I miss you BOTH so much!

Holy fucking hell, this man was so adorable. Akaashi was already head over heels in love with him.

Me

We’re both okay, and we miss you so much too.

I hope you're doing fine too.

When's the soonest we can see each other?

He was aware of how eager, and impatient he sounded, but he didn't give a care. There was no need for him to hide how much he wanted to see the Alpha, was there? He knew Bokuto wanted to see him just as much, if not more.

Bokuto

Now that I know you two are okay, I feel great! :D

AHHHH WHAT IF I SAID TOMORROW?

Akaashi clapped a hand over his mouth to stop a shriek. He could see Bokuto tomorrow? But how? He already had plans with his friends.

Me

Wait, but we made plans with Oikawa-san and Kenma for tomorrow. How am I going to see you?

Bokuto

Yeah, I know about your group date! Oikawa asked me if I wanted to join, and obv I said yes!

Wouldn't miss an opportunity to see your beautiful face :)

Oh, Akaashi was so going to kill Oikawa for not telling him about this sooner. And then he was going to give him a kiss on the forehead for inviting Bokuto along. His friend might have looked like a fool on the outside, but he was actually a mastermind.

Me

That's amazing. I can't wait to see you, Bo.

Oops, I meant we can't wait to see you.
