“Woah woah! Lemme help you with that, Akaashi.”

Akaashi opened his mouth to protest, to tell Kuroo he could pick up his bag himself, but Kuroo had already picked it up and was holding it out for him to take, so he swallowed back his complaints and gave his friend a grateful smile.

“Thanks, Kuroo-san.” He said as he took the bag from him. “That was uncharacteristically kind of you.”

Kuroo sulked. “You can't be serious. I'm always kind.”

Akaashi raised an eyebrow at him. “Could've fooled me if I hadn't known you for years.”

He could probably be considered a sadist for enjoying the offended expression on Kuroo’s face. His joy didn’t last too long, however, because seconds later Kuroo was grinning like a cheshire cat, making Akaashi want to throw a punch at him.

“And that, my dear Akaashi,” he said, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms over his chest, “was very characteristically rude of you. Not surprised at all.”

He then burst out laughing, and Akaashi just rolled his eyes, turning his back to him to exit the apartment. It was best to ignore Kuroo when he was in a laughing fit like this.

“Kenma, collect your fucking boyfriend.” He called out to his roommate, who was probably busy playing games on his PSP, before walking out the door and leaving him to deal with the rooster haired Alpha.

He made his way to the elevator and pressed on the button before pulling his phone out of his bag. He had to text Hinata that he couldn’t make it to the bookstore today. He felt bad for dumping all the work on him and Kageyama, even if it was just for a day, but he had things to do today. First he had to drop by the school and get his internship documents signed by his professor, then he had to meet Bokuto so they could go do some shopping together. He had told him they could meet at the shopping center, but his boyfriend had insisted he could pick him up from school and they could go together, and Akaashi could only say no to him to a certain extent. Now that they finally knew they were having a daughter, they were going to shop for baby stuff, like clothes, toys, pacifiers, blankets and everything, and Akaashi was literally buzzing with excitement.

He sent Hinata a short text which summed up the situation pretty well, and the ginger Omega replied in a matter of seconds, telling Akaashi it was fine and they could handle it for the day. He also asked him if he could show him everything he got for his little girl, and Akaashi happily agreed. He would be more than happy to show his friends the things he got for his princess.

The elevator gave a small ding when it reached ground floor and Akaashi quickly stepped out, wanting to be outside as soon as possible so he could get some fresh air in his lungs. Kenma had offered to give him a ride to school, telling him he didn't need to walk all the way, but he had declined, because on the contrary to what his friend had said he wanted to, needed to walk. Walking helped a lot, especially when the weather was so nice like this. It relaxed him, lessened the pain he constantly felt in his legs and back and also brought him some kind of happiness, a feeling of peace. Not only him, but his little girl liked to take walks too, and so Akaashi tried to go out on a short walk everyday. He only agreed to use a vehicle when the place he was headed to was way too far to walk to.

He was halfway through his way when his phone started to ring, and when he took it out of his bag to answer it he saw that the caller was none other than his boyfriend. Smiling softly to himself Akaashi accepted the call and pressed his phone to his ear.

“Hello, sweetheart.”

“Hey hey, my beautiful!” Bokuto replied, his voice loud and cheerful. “It's so good to hear your voice. How are you?”
