Wendy POV

Talking to Dipper is so easy. It could be about anything, and our conversation would be able to continue forever. Being on the roof with him, discussing our relationship status, was no different. I explained to him how I liked the idea of us as a couple. I also warned him that if we didn't work out as a couple, then we would continue being friends. His eyes lit up when he finally understood what I was saying.

"Are you saying what I think you're saying? Do you want to go out with me?" He asks, almost falling off of the cooler.

"I would love to." I confirm his thoughts.

"How about we meet at my place for movie night, as planned. Mabel will be at Candy's house for a sleepover, so we can have the tv in my room for once." He says.

"Sounds perfect! See you at 6?"

"See you then!" He agrees.

Soon after we agree to meet, I tell him that I better go home to get ready for our date. He blushes at the sound of that word.

I wave and begin to descend down the ladder. Once on the ground, Mabel stops me and asks what we were talking about on the roof.

"You'll have to ask your brother." I reply with a wink.

Mabel squeals and rushes up the ladder. I decide to leave before Mabel makes this awkward for both of us.

I grabbed my helmet, and headed home on my bike. On my way, I run into an old enemy: Robbie.

"Hey babe," he comments while I stop my bike "what's up?"

"I actually can't talk now Robbie, I have to get ready for a date." I say bluntly

"A what? With whom!" He replies, getting defensive.

"I'll wait for him to tell you." I say, not wanting this conversation to continue.

"Ugh." He replies. And he wonders why I left him?

I continue to ride my bike home, not saying another word to Robbie. Once I arrive home, I get ready for our date.
The clock says 5:00 pm, giving me 30 minutes to get ready, before I have to leave to get back to the shack.

First, I grab my clothes. I doubt Dipper will change his style of clothing so I won't either. I grab my boots, green flannel shirt, and a pair of jeans from the closet.

My phone buzzes and I check who is trying to contact me. The word "Dipper" appears on my screen along with the words "incoming call". I decide to answer.

"Hello?" I ask, even though I know who it is.

"Hey Wendy!" Dipper replies

"Oh, hey Dip! I'm almost ready, then I'm going to walk to your house by using the path in the woods. I ran into Robbie on the way here, so I'm going to take another route on the way back."

"Ugh, Robbie. Anyway, I was wondering if we're going casual for this date. Like, you know, our usual sense of style?" He asks

"Yeah, that sounds perfect. No need to get all dressed up for a movie, right?" I reply

"Perfect! See you soon!" He says

"Bye!" I reply.

I quickly throw on my jeans, and flannel shirt. By this time, the clock says 5:30, so I decide to begin my walk to the shack.

I made it to the shack without bumping into Robbie again. However, I realize that by the time the movie is over, it will be too dark to see. Dipper did mention that Mabel will be gone at a sleepover, so maybe I can crash here for the night?

I knock on the door, and am greeted by Stan. Ugh.

"Hey Wendy, leave your jacket here again?" He asks, a little annoyed.

"No, Dipper and I are having movie night in his room." I reply

"Oh. Ooooh! Well it's good that he finally had the guts to ask you out. But why'd you say yes?" Stan asks.

"I dunno, just to try something new I guess." I reply.

"Mmk..." He says "Dipper, Wendy's here!" Stan yells up the stairs.

I hear footsteps rushing down stairs before Stan even finished his sentence. Dipper was running so fast that he passed the door. He back tracked and greeted me.

"Come in!" He says. "Hopefully Stan didn't talk to you too long."

"Nah, it's all good. What movie are we watching?" I ask.

"We watched Nearly Almost Dead but Not Quite the other day, so how about Attack of the Exclamation Points for tonight?" He asks.

"Sounds perfect to me!" I reply.
