Dipper POV
After lunch, I took Wendy home as Mabel and Soos walked back to the shack.
"Sorry for the short adventure. But don't worry, tomorrow we'll hang out with Thompson, Lee, Nate and Tambry so that will last a while!" I exclaim
"No Robbie? Good. Great even," She says laughing, "I just wish he'd act normally. How am I suppose to avoid him once you leave? School will be a living nightmare running past him in the hallways. Ugh. Why do you have to leave Gravity Falls?" She asks not wanting an answer. It's ironic that my plan allows me to not have to leave but I decide not to bring that up.
We arrive at her cabin and her dad's outside the door.
"Wendy, can you make us some lunch?! I'm starving!" Manly Dan roars. I swear some crows flew away at the sound of his booming voice.
"Ugh, dad, can't I just relax for a day?" She asks
"No! You don't do the manly jobs so you'll have to do the womanly jobs. Now cook!" He orders
I roll my eyes a his behavior then pay attention to Wendy again.
"So text all of you friends to meet at 1:00 pm tomorrow in Circle Park. We can make a plan from there. Sound good?" I ask
"Sounds perfect." She replies, smiling "I wish my dad would treat me the way you do. With respect!" She says making sure her dad can here her.
He just grunts and tells her to hurry up but it just makes her even more annoyed. She decides to do something that I appreciate but her dad doesn't, just to get on his nerves.
She bends down and kisses me long and hard: a full make out session right in front of her dad. It lasts at least four minutes before he comes over and grabs her arm to pull her inside.
"Bye Dip! I love you!" She shouts
"I love you too!" I shout back. We both laugh as she's dragged away.
When I get home from Wendy's house, I grab the tape measurer from my vest and look at it. I then take out a piece of paper and start doing calculations for my end of summer plan. I also jot down what Blendin told us today: travel solo to avoid being caught by the time correction unit. A few hours pass and I don't even hear mabel enter when she shouts
"Hi there! What are you doing?"
"Oh uh, nothing! Just investigating more about the author and the missing pages. Learning some new codes. You know, the usual." I reply, hoping she isn't onto me.
"Oh. Okay. I was right, it is boring nerdy stuff." She says and I frown "So what are you and Wendy doing tomorrow.
"We're hanging out with 'the gang'. Want to join us?" I ask
"Oh nah that's okay. I have to hang out with Candy and Grenda." She replies
"Hey speaking of that, I need to say goodbye to them before we leave." I say, trying not to give away my plan
"Good! Candy needs to tell you something. Eh maybe I should tell you. She's not very good at talking." She says, mysteriously
"Wait what? I want to know now! Tell me!" I demand
"Eh maybe she should tell you. But then again she may not admit it." Mabel continues thinking out loud.
"Mabel seriously. What? I'm getting annoyed!" I say
"Okay fine! Candy has a slight crush on you and has all summer. She's been too shy to tell you and doesn't know you and Wendy are dating." Mabel blurts.
