Dipper POV

Wendy and I walk onto the dance floor. Soos begged Stan to let him be DJ, and Stan agreed only after Soos said he would do it for free. The song Soos was playing was "Don't Start Unbelieving".

I saw Mabel walk over to Soos and whisper something in his ear.

"Would the members of Love Patrol Alpha please come to the stage?" Soos announced

"Uh oh." I said

"What?" Wendy asked

"Mabel calls our family band 'Love Patrol Alpha'. She probably wants us to sing karaoke with her." I explain

"Love Patrol Alpha to the stage!" Soos repeats

Mabel then takes the microphone "That means you, Dipper!" She says, looking at me

"Do you mind if I go up and sing with Mabel? It's the only way to get her to stop interrupting us." I say

"Sure! I'd love to hear you sing!" Wendy replies, laughing

I walk up to Mabel, who is now next to Stan.

"So, what are you dudes singing?" Soos asks

"Taking Over Midnight, this time not in front of undead freakshows." Mabel replies.

We grab our microphones and the song begins to play.

I take a deep breath, then begin the song by singing "Friday Night, and we're gonna party 'til dawn
Don't Worry Daddy
I've got my favorite dress on"

Mabel joins in "We're Rollin' to the party
The Boys are lookin' our way
We just keep dancin'
We don't care what they say
And all the boys are gettin' up on my face"

Stan begins singing "Boys are a bore
Let's show em the door
We're taking over the dance floor!"

Then all of us sing together.
"Ohhh Oh Girls do what we like
Ohhh Oh We're takin' over tonight
Ohhh Oh Girls do what we like
Ohhh Oh We're takin' over tonight
We're Queens of the disco

Ohhh Oh Girls do what we like
Ohhh Oh We're takin' over tonight"

Of course, Mabel makes me do the solo again. I sing/scream "Taking over tooooniiight!"

The instrumental solo comes in then fades out. Everyone begins to cheer, and I try to regain my breath.

"Thank you! We'll be here all night!" Mabel shouts

I walk back over to Wendy.

"Dude, that was awesome." She says, still laughing.

"I know, I'm not the best singer but at least I sang! I don't see you singing up there!" I say, jokingly

"Oh yeah?" She asks, taking on the challenge. She goes up to Soos, and whispers a song in his ear. Soos clicks a few buttons, then the song Disco Girl begins to play.

I blush, knowing she picked this one to embarrass me. I let out a giggle as Mabel begins to cry of laughter.

I thought Wendy was going to make fun of the song, but she started singing and it sounded good. Great even! I had never heard Wendy sing, and it was amazing.

"Disco Girl, coming through, that girl is you! Ooh ooh! Ooh ooh!" She finishes

Everyone begins cheering so loud. As she walks back towards me. She laughs at my expression. My mouth is wide open, unable to comprehend what just happened.

"H-how did you? That was amazing! I didn't know you could sing!" I say, stunned

"Ha, ya. Just another thing I taught myself to keep busy after my mom passed away." She sighs

I feel bad for reminding her of the topic, and cover by saying "Well it makes sense that you have such a beautiful voice. You're so gorgeous on the outside, it only makes sense for you to be gorgeous on the inside too!"

It worked, because she laughs and blushes a little. "You're too sweet!"

"Want any punch?" I ask her

"Sure! Thanks Dip!" She replies

I walk over to the punch table, and regret my decision. Standing right in front of me is Robbie.

"Hey twerp. Why are you so dressed up? Trying to make girls like you?" He taunts

"I don't see why you bothered to show up in those tight jeans. You already have a girlfriend." I respond

"Well I just wanted to show Wendy what's she's missing. Where is Wendy, anyway?" He asks

"I think I saw her by the rock that looks like a face. You should really go look over there." I say

Robbie is stupid enough to believe me and walks over there. I rush back to Wendy.

"There you are, Dip. What happened to the punch. And are you okay? You look out of breath." She says

"Ya, but we need to go! Now!" I say, pulling her hand towards the gift shop.

She follows unwillingly. I help her up the ladder to the roof, and we sit on the lawn chair.

"You didn't raise the dead again, did you?" She asks

"No," I say, panting, "Robbie is down there and looking for you."

"Why are you so worried about Robbie? He has a girlfriend." Wendy explanation

"I know but he wore tight jeans and said he did so to 'show you what you're missing'." I reply

"The only thing I was missing was you, doofus, because you were getting punch. I don't care about Robbie or his tight jeans. All that's on my mind is you." She says

I blush as we begin to lean towards one another. Our lips touch as we kiss. We have only kissed a few times, but each one is always better than the last.

I hear the trap door to the roof open, and Wendy and I stop kissing momentarily. It's hard to focus on the figure in the dark, but once I see the hoodie with a stitched heart I know it's Wendy's ex.

"Wendy! What are you doing kissing this- this twerp!" He shouts

"Robbie, why do you care? You have your own girlfriend." I say

"But I didn't think Wendy would lower her standards to you! She obviously misses me. Don't you, babe?" Robbie asks, walking closer to her.

"Stay back, Robbie!" I yell, noticing he's trying to kiss Wendy. "She doesn't like you anymore, and you need to respect that!"

"You need to respect that" Robbie mimics "haha, you're pathetic, kid. You really think a highschooler likes a little seventh grader like yourself? Face it kid, you've got your hopes too high!"

"Robbie that's not true! I-I love him! You had you're chance and you blew it. Now go back to Tambry before I tell her that you were trying to kiss me. You were lucky enough to get another girlfriend, so you may as well keep her."

Robbie is shocked that Wendy said she loved me, and insulted him like that. He huffs and looks at me. "This isn't over kid," he threatens, "watch your back." And with that he climbs back down the ladder.

"Ugh, he is such a jerk." I say

"I can't believe I dated that" Wendy comments

"Want to go back on the dance floor?" I ask

"Sure."

And with that, we climb back down the ladder.
