"Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love? Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks...." My head swayed along to the rhythm as the melody continues.
My "little soldier" was off to some unknown land. Defending our small united country. he left with a goodbye, longing to return back with me.
"Please don't cry." he pleaded with me as a tear ran down my cheek. I wiped it off quickly as I smiled back up. he sighed as he came closer to kiss away my tears.
First the left, then the right. Tingles raced down my entire body. I held on to his hands, not wanting him to leave for his journey.
He pulled me in closer, holding my waist as he continues. "I'll be back before you know it.", he smiled,reassuring me that everything will go smoothly. I nodded while whipping away the streaks of tears leaking through my eyes. "I love you."
He leaned in and look me into my weary eyes. placing his gaze on my lips, he placed his on mine. Soft as always, he nibbled on mine. I placed my arms around his neck as we continued. The entire atmosphere vanished, leaving just us two in our deep dark world.
He let go. I paused, still dizzy from the kiss. "I have to go. My flight is leaving in an hour." Okay, okay. My mind was spinning. His hands slowly slipped away, letting go of mine.
"Dominic?", I looked at his silhouette figure hoping that he would turn around. "Yea?", he turned with a puzzled face.
"I love you so much. stay safe."
