"Hello, Cheryl!" greeted three voices simultaneously. "Hello Everyone," said Cheryl softly. "I am Michel Oblak from Washington high school", someone said in a polite voice. Michel Oblak was a tall dark boy who was extremely well behaved and kind towards everyone. He was a great basketball player and had also played basketball for Washington under 18 teams twice. He was quite muscular and always wore basketball tees(T-shirts) and shorts. He worked in the restaurant to help his parents with the finances as they were facing some issues for a while now. "Don't mind Bernard's talks. He's one of the best people I've met, he gave me cash in advance after hearing about my situation" said Michel with an unmistaken tone of gratitude.
"Hey, Cheryl. Wassup!" a cheerfully loud voice interrupted, nearly startling Cheryl. The voice belonged to the a ginger-colored girl who had spots on her face, mostly pimples, and some scars as if someone had hit her before. Her name was Catherine. Catherine was one of the most beautiful girls Cheryl had ever seen. She had lovely god-gifted green eyes which added to her beauty and she also wore rings on her fingers. She was the first girl Cheryl had seen who preferred wearing black rings and not fancy stuff. Catherine had a great background (family history). Her dad was a businessman in France. Catherine started working in the restaurant to earn extra money which she planned on investing in her music skills. Her dad hated it when she played any instrument and never gave her money for any music item, so Catherine started working for her passion.
There stood another person in the corner, sweeping the water that Bernard had spilled in his anger. He didn't greet Cheryl, neither glanced at her even once. So, Cheryl decided to go greet him herself, "Umm... Hey?".
"Hhhh.... iiiii" stammered the boy, clearly stressed. "He's too shy, don't mind him, it took him 7 days to make Catherine his friend," said Michel teasingly.
"I ammm... Felix rrrivvver", stuttered Felix as if he had been asked to talk to a ghost.
'Well, he's too reserved, I have to do something...I guess' thought Cheryl to herself while observing Felix.
Cheryl took a mob and started sweeping the floor with Felix. Everyone went back to their work and Cheryl kept on observing Felix for the next 15 minutes without uttering a word.
"Thanks," said Felix. "Oh! So you don't stammer normally? I got so tensed seeing you stutter! I thought I'd made you nervous" exclaimed Cheryl with relief.
"I don't, actually I'm afraid of meeting new people and I..uh...I am sorry but.. but YOU ARE REALLY BEAUTIFUL and I was taken aback by that and couldn't say anything," blurted out Felix looking straight into Cheryl's ocean blue eyes.
"Oh! It's okay and thank you so much!". Cheryl, as we all know, was shy herself but she never stepped back when there came a time to help someone like her.
"So are you too from Washington High School?" asked Cheryl with hopes of getting an affirmative reply. "Yes," said Felix, this time with full confidence.
Felix was a slim guy with curly blonde hair and was exceptionally handsome. If he started speaking out and flirting like the other guys, he would surely have lines of girls waiting to go on dates with him, a different girl every single day. Felix was an Orphan too, but he used to stay with his quirky aunt who was like Ms. May, extremely rude and daunting! And hence, he had to work for his survival.
Cheryl was very glad to meet her new friends and was extremely excited to work with them. Who knows, she might even earn a friendship that would last FOREVER.
