Adekunle Orenuga

We got to the senior block and were about to ascend the stairs when I saw Rolake standing at the middle of the stairs, in all her beautiful glory, wanting to descend.

I turned towards Timi and whispered to him. "Guy abeg dey go, make I try shoot my shot" I said to him, snickering, Rolake still looking at us, more like glaring at me. Timi shot me a smirk and with a quick shake of his head, he shooting up the stairs, sliding past Rolake and muttering something inaudible to my hearing. She acknowledged him and turned to me, still sending daggers towards me. Hehe. Guess it was time for some menace.

I put on my signature smirk while she closed her eyes, heaved in a sigh and opened them. She started descending down the stairs, her face void of any emotion. She got to where I was standing and I still had my smirk on. She looked at me from where she stood, her face still blank. I stared back at her, lost in her beautiful deep blue and brown, almost looking black eyes. They were so beautiful. They looked closed up but I could see into her beautiful soul. Gosh, I sound so cringe worthy right now.

"Move" she said, her voice monotone, snapping me out of my trance.

"No" I managed to say and my smirk even grew bigger if that was possible.

She looked like she would really want to be anywhere but here. Wait why is she even here? Isn't she meant to be in class?

I was snapped out of my thoughts again by a push. She pushed me. Wow she's feisty. Me likely. Ode. She was about to storm away when I acted out of impulse and grabbed her wrists, halting her in her tracks.

Why did I do that? Never mind that, what the hell is that? I had felt some kind of electricity zap the moment my hand made contact with my skin. But if I can remember well, this is the first time I would make body contact with her. All the other encounters, she made sure not to have anything to do with me like I was some kind of disease. Well today is obviously her lucky day. First we bumped into each other and now we are making body contact. My game was strong today.

"Oh feisty aren't we?" I said to her after realising we had just been staring at each other, still holding onto her wrist. She slit her eyes dangerously at me.

"Let. Go. Of. Me" she said pronouncing each word slowly and lethaly like if I didn't obey, I'd pay. She pulled her arm away from my hold and stormed away from the block, not even looking back.

Well today has been a crazy morning.

I sighed and looked at my palm.

I wonder if she felt it too.

What if she didn't?

Nah she definitely did.

I thought while creasing my brows. I shook my head and was about to face the stairs when I got stopped by the devil. Just kidding. She's like a demi devil instead. Mrs Onyemem was coming down the the stairs and slit her eyes at my when she noticed me.

What kind of déjà vu is this?

"And why aren't you settled down in class Orenuga?" She asked me with her Igbo accent ruining my surname. Gosh I didn't like this woman. It's a mutual feeling though.

I rolled my eyes, still standing there, waiting for her to hurry her ass up and leave the goddamn stairs. Sorry not sorry if I'm being disrespectful.

"That's for me to know and you to never find out dearest teacher" I said forcing a smile that was obviously fake.
