SCENE NINE

(The following day, as the girls were coming back from the church, the Prince blocked their way with his car and took Anita to a separate corner. A few minutes later, Kamsy and Jane's boyfriends arrived at the scene and took them to separate corners as well)

PETRUS

How are you girls doing?

JANE AND KAMSY

We are fine and you?

PETRUS

Please, permit me to steal your friend away from you for some time.

KAMSY

She is all yours.

(Petrus and Anita went to a separate corner to chat)

PETRUS

My Angel, how are you today?

ANITA

I am fine, as you can see am just coming back from the stream. (While the other two were waiting for her, Jane was blindfolded from behind and to her greatest surprise, it was Philip)

JANE

How did you find me here?

PHILIP

Well, I trailed you to the stream without your noticing it.

KAMSY

Ehe... Jane, I will be waiting under that mango tree. Please excuse me. (She was under the mango tree feeling like a rejected fellow in a lonely forest. While she was waiting, Stanley who was coming back from a friend's house saw her sitting under the mango tree and immediately went to her. Now it seemed the equation was balanced)

THREE (3) HOURS LATER

JANE

Please, my love, I have to go now. As you can see, I am coming back from church and my parents will be worried. Please, let us see some other day that will be convenient for us.

PHILIP

Ok, let us go together so that I can help you with your water and I think I will come and see your parents next tomorrow.

JANE

What are you seeing my parents for?

PHILIP

I want to formally introduce myself to them and also declare my intentions to marry you.

JANE

Are you serious?!!!

PHILIP

Yes, I am, my dear, but that will be if you will accept to be my wife.

JANE

Are you asking me? I will marry you. (When the three girls were through with their affairs they decided to introduce themselves to each other).

KAMSY

It looks like our dear Prince will start.

ANITA

Well as you all know this is Petrus "The Prince" the love of my life.

JANE

Ok, this is Philip, the Doctor that I told you girls about and my husband-to-be.

KAMSY

Last but not the least, this is my heartbeat Stanley my Engr. husband to be. (After the introduction by the girls, they all exchanged contact numbers)

JANE

I have good news for you girls, Philip has finally proposed to me.

KAMSY

Wow!! So what did you tell him?

JANE

I accepted him off course and he said that he will visit my people next tomorrow.

KAMSY

Mine is that Stanley will be visiting my people tomorrow.

ANITA

Wow, it is like we are all getting married at the same time.

KAMSY

Thank God, for our dreams of getting married at the same time are coming through. May God be praised (They all chorused Amen and the light fades)
