ACT ONE
SCENE TEN
(Anita waited for her friends under the mango tree; Kamsy arrived almost at their scheduled time which was 4:00 pm while Jane arrived a few minutes later)
ANITA
I think it will be nice if we all do our wedding on the same day.
KAMSY
Well, as for me, it will be good but you know we are not the ones to take such decisions. It is our husbands that can take such decisions. The only thing we can do is to plead with them but I strongly feel they will accept it.
JANE
I strongly agree with you. We have to tell them maybe they will meet and discuss it.
ANITA
Ok, all we have to do now is to remain in touch with each other for any latest update.
KAMSY
My husband promised to take me out of the country for our honeymoon.
JANE
It's like our husbands are thinking alike. Mine also said that we will be traveling out of the country for our honeymoon.
ANITA
Well, I do not know for mine but I pray he will do the same. You know he is the next king to be, so he needs to be around but I believe we are going to spend some time about it.
KAMSY
Our wedding should have a name tag. (Kamsy suggested)
JANE
You are speaking of name tag while we are not yet sure whether we are having our wedding the same day.
KAMSY
I know but let us just decide on one and tell them, to know what they will say about it.
ANITA
Since you were the person that brought the idea why don't you suggest first or do you already have one in mind?
KAMSY
I don't have any and that is why I brought up the topic so that we can all deliberate on it and tell our husbands.
JANE
Ok, what if we go with the name J.A.K 2015. J=Jane, A=Anita and K=Kamsy.
KAMSY
Wow... that is a great idea but that does not mean that you are a good thinker... but let us just manage your idea. (Laughing)
ANITA
Yes, I think we should go with it. As for me, I do not see anything wrong with the name. So, I think we have to get going now to inform our husbands of what we have decided and get their opinions.
KAMSY & JANE
Yes, her majesty. (They all laughed and went home full of thoughts and expectations and the light fades)
