ACT FOUR

SCENE ONE

(Two friends, Amaka and Chioma were coming back from the market when they saw a lady who later identified herself as Rita sitting at a corner of the road crying profusely)

CHIOMA

"My friend, look at how this girl is crying profusely like a small child, what could be the reason for a beautiful damsel like her to be crying here all alone?

AMAKA

Are you asking me? Am I the one that made her cry?

CHIOMA

Let's go and meet her.

AMAKA

Hmm... go and meet her for what? My dear if you want to go, I will not hold you back but as for me, I am going nowhere.

CHIOMA

If you are in her shoes you will like to be consoled. Let's just go and meet her or are you afraid? After all, she is a girl like us so cannot harm both of us.

AMAKA

Ok, let's go but if anything happens to me I will not take it lightly with you.

CHIOMA

Hello dear, what is the matter? (But Rita just gazed at them and continued with her crying business) My dear, why are you crying? What is wrong with you??? Please tell us, who knows we might be of help to you. (But she just gazed at them again and kept quiet) Are you pregnant? Or did you lose any of your relatives? Tell us what the problem was, we might be of help. But if you don't want to share it with us no problem (They stood up to leave but Rita called them back and apologized for her rudeness)

RITA

I don't mean to be rude but is just that I don't feel like talking to anyone but since you girls have cared, I think I have to share it with you. (She then narrated her ordeal to them. It was finally discovered that they all had the same experience. "Birds of the same feather flock together" Since they were in the same boat, they decided to put their heads together and plan on what to do to get their revenge, forgetting that two wrongs can never make a right. The first revenge strategy that was proposed by Rita was strongly dissented by Amaka but after much argument, they landed on a particular opinion which was finally suggested by Chioma. The emergence of the three friends was on the wedding of the United Friend. They were still on the matter as the light fades)
