Jungkook

"Tell me, Jungkook, is you reverting to being the perfect omega your parents tried to condition you to be worth it?"

I hold Jimin's hand in mine as we stand in front of his grandmother's office. To ground myself, I focus on the small things, like how soft Jimin's hand is and how mine practically swallows his up because of the size difference.

Jimin's eyes fall closed as he inhales and exhales slowly. His scent starts to shift, so I rest my head on his shoulder and check his expression.

The raven has always been good at hiding his feelings when the situation calls for it. Instead of focusing on his own strife, he busies himself with the hardship of others. It's a noble thing to do, but it makes me fear for him. If Jimin focuses on everyone else, who focuses on Jimin?

I guess that's why he wants an alpha, someone of equal status so that his emotions will be cared for as well.

Brown eyes meet mine and he blushes.

"You're staring."

"Can you blame me?"

Jimin sighs and plays with my hair. "I'm fine. You don't have to keep releasing pheromones."

"I have a signal, but you don't," I say, my voice low. "Do you have any ideas for one?"

"There's no need. I can deal with it."

My lips form a frown.

"Don't pout."

"Jimiiiin," I whine softly. "I'm supposed to be helping you. Let me do that."

His breath hitches and he looks at the floor. "Are you sure? You're doing enough."

"You're also paying me," I tease. "We're roommates and friends. We support each other. I don't mind taking care of you."

The alpha looks at me through his peripherals and blushes.

"I don't think I can come up with one. This is the most intimacy I've had and it's all fake."

"We can have the same one." I pet him and he shifts.

"Look, I've tried dating once and it never got anywhere. I'm basically a virgin to all romantic touch." He closes his eyes.

The indescribable feeling that I had with Jin hits me a million times harder and I gawk at him.

"Are you making fun of me?"

I shake my head. "Just use the same signal. It'll be okay. It's just me, right?"

He blinks for a while before exhaling. "Yeah... it's just you..."

Something about him saying that causes a sharp pang to run through me, but I ignore and swallow it, focusing instead on the jiggling of the door handle.

The door opens and a woman who looks a bit like Jimin looks us over. Her arms are crossed, but I can make out the prominent smile lines by her eyes, meaning she can be strict, but sweet as well. I just wish she'd show more of that sweetness to Jimin instead of force him into a box.

"Ah, Jimin! Is this your... omega boyfriend?"

Eyes look at our height and size difference and I suddenly feel even smaller than both Parks. I swallow and hug Jimin's arm, pushing away memories.

"Yes, Grandma, this is Jungkook." Jimin smiles.

"Jungkook? Are you Jeon Jungkook?"

I nod meekly.

"Ah! Jimin has actually told me a lot about you! You're his omega roommate who is an art major, right?"

My eyes blow open and my face turns as red as the fruit my scent smells like.

Jimin has spoken about me before?

"Th-That's me." I bury my face in Jimin's neck.

"This is great. Do come in."

My roommate leads us to our chairs and I find myself moving the chair closer to Jimin's so I can easily hold his hand.

"What made you change your mind, Mimi?"

"You've been talking about what it means to be the face of this company for a while now and Jungkook and I have been dating for a while now. I was just too shy to introduce you because I wasn't sure you'd approve."

"Well, the size difference does make you look more like an omega and him the alpha, but his personality evens it out," she explains and I zone out.

Jimin traces patterns on the back of my hand to try and ground me. "He's really pretty though, right? Plus, he's really nice and caring. You should see his art sometime too. It's amazing. He's shy about me seeing it sometimes, but everything I'm allowed to see has been worthy of a museum."

I look at Jimin, my face red. I didn't know praise was part of the deal.

"An interest in art is nice. And he is pretty. His eyes look big and innocent."

"You can tell him directly. He is right next to me." Jimin shifts and I squeeze his hand.

"It's okay, Chimmy. I know I'm not the important one here."

"Sorry, Jungkook, I didn't think the business side of things would interest you. We're talking appearances and you, although a little different, are perfect for my Mimi, I believe. If you two were to have children, they'd be the cutest things."

Jimin's eyes widen and his jaw drops. "Ch-Children?"

"Not now, silly, but you have to admit that you two would make good ones, right?" She smiles.

I examine the alpha. Children haven't been on my radar, but I guess if for some reason we were to have kids, Jimin's grandmother is right. They'd be perfect.

My hand rests over my stomach and Mrs. Park claps.

"See, Jungkook is already thinking about it!"

I look away and Jimin covers his face.

"Twins run in my family." I smile. "I hope that wouldn't be a problem."

The older omega claps. "That most certainly wouldn't be a problem. We'd just need an alpha to pass the business down to."

I bite back any rebuttals. She really is old fashioned. But at the end of the day, she is Jimin's grandmother, and he loves her. Once the company is his, he can do whatever he pleases. But part of me wants to have twin omegas and have them both be in charge (if they want) just to piss her off.

"Well, I don't know what the future holds, but I hope I'm in it." I look at Jimin before kissing his cheek.

Author's Note: I was on call and got the first vaccine yesterday and I'm still tired af. Watch me nap. I hope I wake up to lots of comments and love.
