Daniel came home, only to find Maria sleeping on the couch, under a blanket, with her skirt and shirt on the floor. Daniel gently shook her awake, but she fell off the couch.... Right on top of a plate full of Spaghetti. Daniel sighed, and took off his helmet, and took off his ODST armor, which the UNSC granted because he was skilled enough to own one, to self defense purposes. As soon Daniel took off his boot, he heard an explosion, and the TV started a new storyline. "Everyone at home, we strictly advise you to leave if you are in these areas: Mombasa City, Ta..." Daniel was worried about this news, since he and Maria were in Mombasa City. "Maria! Get dressed, we got to go!"
24 minutes later... Because I'm lazy....
Maria had gotten dressed, and Daniel didn't waste any time leaving, but he swore he heard a sound that he will never forget. Daniel was in his ODST armor so he heard everything from the news. "Everyone evacuate the planet! The Flood has seemingly taken over a spot of the planet- Oh no! They're in here too! AAAAGGGHHH!" Daniel heard squelching, and decided to drive faster the nearest UNSC outpost. "Damn it! We're still only 23 minutes away!" Maria had just realized the situation. "Wait, what's happening?! Why are we driving to Oni Beta?!" Daniel didn't want to scare her, so he said his go to phrase. "Because I have work there." She calmed down, but was still anxious. While he was driving down the highway, he saw people running away from green figures, which he presumed was The Flood.
