Daniel answered the phone, which was an Oni operater, Who he knew was probably recruiting him to a fireteam. "The mission called Operation slick! You're supposed to take back Oni site #58. This mission could probably save humanity!" Daniel knew this was bullshit by Captain Lasky, but he didn't mind, because the Captain was trustworthy. Daniel put down the phone, and went back to watching T.V. The phone rang again, but Daniel ignored it, which was one mistake he made. First, it woke Maria up, second, the caller would dial again and again. Daniel finally answered. "Can't you see I'm not accepting?!" He heard stomping on he other end, and a scream of pain, and fear. "Help us! The Covenant have broke in! We need you! Plea- GAAAH!" The line disconnected, but not before an Elite roar. "Destroy everyth-" Daniel looked at his ODST style helmet, then at Maria. "I have to go, Covenant have tried to strike." Maria nodded, understanding. "And please, stay here, I don't want you to get hurt."

3 hours ahead, when Covenant had made an outpost out of an Oni base, and was fighting back against the many Spartans that responded.

"We're being overrun! Humans are attacking!" Daniel heard across the comms, in which the covenant forgot to check. Daniel was far away, using a Sniper rifle to scout, killing off one by one. "Fall back! The humans are too strong!" Daniel didn't believe they were retreating, since they were sending out Brutes, who were barely stronger than Spartans. The Spartans didn't last long against Brutes, but the Brutes were dying off just as quickly. He suddenly had a flash back of Reach, where Brutes destroyed everything between buildings and humans. The Covenant eventually Evacuated, and Daniel got in the driver's seat of his Warthog.

The Covenant ship where the last prophet resides.

"What do you mean the last attempt was a fail?! I calculated every move!" The Elite who was bowing down to the Prophet of Discipline shook his head. "You didn't calculate that there would be a bunch of Spartans and Snipers!" The Prophet slowly turned around in his chair. "I'd hoped it wouldn't come to this, but it looks like glassing the planet is the only option if you dumb skulls can't even set up base!" Just then an alarm blared furiously. "Help! It's the- AAAGHH!"  A brute screamed through the ship. The Prophet looked at the schematics of the ship, which had one thing he didn't like. "What the?! How did his happen?!"
