Daniel saw through the dust clouds as he realized the Halo Ring was going to be glassed by the Covenant. Daniel watched the Cruiser slowly fly into position, but it didn't charge it's beam, most likely because most of the crew members weren't on board yet. "We need medics and a pelican to our position, Chief is injured, and we need to get the hell out of here!" The pelican arrives, if at best, being shot at. "Prepare for landing! Damn phantoms are hitting us hard!" Daniel helps the marine drag chief to the landing zone as the pelican tries to land. Chief breathes heavily, but he still survives for now. "Get chief, he's the one that needs to be treated the most!" A medic team of Spartans rushes out and drags Chief into the Pelican. "Now, time to go."
-Time Skip of 7 hours-
"Admiral, I just want to retire a Spartan. Besides, I didn't make the choice to be Spartan. I didn't choose an abnormal life. This may be my last chance to experience a normal life." The Admiral is still looking through the glass. "Well, what are you doing here if you decided to retire?" Daniel shrugged. "I guess I will take this suit off and leave the UNSC." Daniel walked away from the cockpit, and made his way to the Cortex where he was going to take off his suit. "Are you sure Spartan? I mean, you are one of the be-" Daniel nodded. "Hell yeah. I didn't come all the way here just to change my mind!"
