???: Grandma, what did you want to tell me?
Grandma: Oh yes that's right, I was going to tell you a story I heard long ago. It all started one fateful day.
???: What happened?
Grandma: It was a battle between humans and monsters.
???: What's a monster?
Grandma: They're magical beings, capable of doing magic and all other types of things.
???: Why'd the monsters and humans fight?
Grandma: I'm afraid I don't know that yet. I can only hope it wasn't something terrible.
???: Well, what happened to the monsters?
Grandma: Let me say that part of the story Y/N. Sometimes though, you remind me so much of your mother at her age, asking so many questions ha ha.
You: Well come on, finish the story.
Grandma: Oh alright, alright. Where was I? Oh yes. The battle raged on for years, death on both sides. Some might even say it was the fiercest battle in history. The battle soon came to a close, but not in one people might of expected. I only know so little, but from what I was told. The Leader of the Human Army, came face to face with the King of the Monsters. After a bit of talking, the King of the Monsters had surrendered.
You: Why?
Grandma: Well my dear grandson, when in a unwinnable war, you shouldn't continue fighting with no hope at survival. My only thought is that he gave up to make sure his kind wasn't wiped off the face of the earth.
You: Oh, okay.
Grandma: That's about as much of the story that I know unfortunately.
You: Aw man, I wanted to know more about the monsters.
Grandma: Luckily for you, I have a story detailing monster history. It's a bit old but it might do the trick.
You: Really?! Thanks grandma!
Grandma: Oh it's no trouble at all. And I almost forgot.
You: What is it.
Grandma: No matter the outcome, no matter how dark things may seem, always strive for hope, always make sure to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
You: Don't worry, I'll be sure to make you proud.
Grandma: I know you will.
You woke up in your bedroom, tired from another dream. You kept having the same dream over and over, yet you couldn't seem to figure out what it meant.
You: (I'm probably just sleep deprived.)
You got up from your bed before instantly falling onto the floor.
You: (*Sigh* Good morning floor, hello hurt body parts.)
You got up and wiped the sleep from your eyes and stood up. You stretched for a while before getting dressed. You head downstairs and greet your mother and sister with a wave.
Mom: Just the usual sweetie?
You: Yep.
S/N: So, how'd you sleep?
You: I slept fine.
S/N: Same dream?
You: You guessed it.
