After the fight

As you awake in the same area where you found Mitsuko, your entire body seemed to be glowing with pure energy.

You: What the-

Mitsuko: I'm impressed.

You: Huh? What do you mean?

Mitsuko: You've almost managed to change the fate that has been given to you.

You: What do you mean "almost"?

Mitsuko: Even the last person who held Hope, fused with Chaos. Even through different realities, either Hope fused with Chaos, or Chaos reigned supreme. Yet you alone, Y/N. You have somehow managed to free one of your friends from Chaos. And you were so close to beating Chaos altogether.

You: Wait. What do you mean "close"? What happened? Why am I here again?

Mitsuko ignored your questions and continued to water her plants.

Mitsuko: Lovely morning, isn't it?

You: That doesn't answer my question.

Mitsuko raised her hand as your soul suddenly appeared in front of you. It looked almost entirely drained, as a few cracks were starting to appear.  You checked your hands as they had a few cracks on them, along with looking a little transparent.

You: I... What...

Mitsuko: You overworked yourself. You went too far. You unlocked the next phase of your trait, but you weren't ready for it.

You: I'm... I'm sorry...

Mitsuko: Don't apologize to me, Y/N. However though, I can see why you did what you did.

You: Is there anything I can do to reverse this?

Mitsuko: Hmm. There is one way. However, it's only been done once. And after I do it, that'll be it. No more replays. The next time you end up here, you'll be dead, permanently.

You: I... I know.

As the room around you started glowing. The light clouded your vision as you shut your eyes.

You stared at Kianna as you saw the ooze trying to escape from her. You knew what happened before as everyone else were ready for whatever attack the thing controlling her was going to do.

You: (I'm... Back. Ugh, my head hurts.)

You turned to your friends and then back at the enemy. Chaos appeared to struggle with controlling Kianna's body. You looked at Amanda who was in the care of Toriel.

You: We have to retreat.

Frisk: What? But we're so close to winning.

You: No. We have to turn back. If this thing is able to jump hosts, then we should get Amanda back, and check if she's alright.

Chaos screamed and yelled loudly as your relic vanished. Everyone backed away from Chaos, as the ooze around the building started moving in all sorts of directions.

Frisk: Alright. I guess you're right. Alright guys let's get Amanda back, we'll be back for Kianna once we're ready again!

As everyone left the school, the building seemed to shake and rumble, before finally collapsing. Surprisingly, the building barely caused any sound when it crumbled to pieces. As the smoke cleared, you saw Chaos rise up from the rubble beneath as the goop seemed to be all around them along with being on them entirely. The screams seemed to stop completely as Chaos started laughing.
