Chapter 9

Rylee POV

Rylee's heart aches seeing Luke leave. She had not expected it to be that sudden. She overly assumed that they already build a good start. But it just breaks away just like that. Its gone with the wind, they say.

There's is no exchange of convo like ..."See you around or take care or I treasured our time together... I will missed you... or ....even a kiss on her cheek. "...just like the novels she reads. His leaving was  just simple and plain.

She felt an emptiness, marking a hole in her heart once again. Back to square one. Well, she guess the feeling is one-sided. Might as well follow Lukes' advice to take a rest since it is Saturday anyway. Maybe after waking up, all will be back to normal.

Lukes' POV

He really tried his best to walk away after saying goodbye. Waking up this morning at Rylee's house, knowing he was not alone for the first time in seven years is quiet primitive,  comforting, relaxing and somehow he felt happy deep inside. For the first time, he felt warmth. The wonderful smell of brewed coffee, the unique scent of freshly changed bed covers and curtains, and.... the fantastic view of a very beautiful woman just an inch away from him.

It is something he wished and looked up to before. Waking up and seeing the love of your life right there next to you,  who shares your contentment and happiness,  who your heart knows will take care of you and ....and... your kids. 

"Wait... Did I just say kids? I'm really crazy ." He said.

With Rylee he easily forgot how he was dump by Shyne,  the woman he does not love,  but a daughter of a wealthy business partner, Mr. Rey Vallez. They tried dating for three times already but both find it hard to bring their relationship to another level.

Mr.  Vallez wanted him to be a son in law for business benefits. They have been partners also for seven years and would like their business to be gigantic and to be hailed greatest in the entire country. After all, it is Mr. Vallez who assisted him, whom he sought for help and gave him advised after his father retired.

Even if it is against his will,  he bought an elegant diamond ring to show her that they both can work things out.

Maybe fate interrupts.  Before he made his proposal,  Shyne confessed that she likes someone else so much, and that she believe that true love do exists. She wanted to spend her life to the man she falls in love with, not the man who would marry her for business sake.

Luke was actually relieved after hearing Shyne. No matter what Mr. Vallez will say in the future,  it is his daughter who cuts the ties,  and he cannot blame her  because it is also what he likes in his heart secretly.

Smiling,  he now remembers how he practiced, three days ago, proposing like a real madly - deeply in love guy and been practicing the sexiest way of saying I love you. Thanks God, it's all over.

Lukes' mind travelled back to Rylee. His heart says, he will visit her in the afternoon but his mind told him to take it one step at a time.
