Loving You For All The Right Reasons

Chapter 22

Rylee is so puzzled with her real score with Luke. What they had done these past few days were special to her. It is Luke whom she surrendered her virginity. All that happened between them mean everything to her. She trusted herself all to him.

It has been more than two months but Luke never mentioned again of their relationship. Yes, she knew they are more than friends, that their relationship is special. Everyday with him give her a thrill, excitement...pleasure.

But, how sure she is of Luke's heart? Her own heart always felt that uneasy butterfly moving inside her in all direction, that feeling when you always felt nervous and do not even know a single thing to do every time  you are with him. The feeling when you are willing to embrace whatever fate has something prepared for you. 

Every time he thinks of him, she is always ready to take chances. She do not want to feel the emptiness and desolation again. She wanted to know him more. 

But, how will that be possible? Two months is already enough that Ryle should have learned her lesson or should have already felt secured but, it puzzled her to know that what they have will anytime vanished.

"I have to tell him that I fell for him."
"I know its crazy but I will be crazier everyday if this continues. Oh God, do help me. I love him it hurts ".

Ryle decided to visit Luke and once and for all, and tell him.

The next day, with connected heart and mind, she arrived at Luke's office. She noticed that the door is slightly opened and she overheard Luke and some girl speaking.

" I love you and our family. I wanted us to be together."

"I love you,too. I will do my best to give you a happy and a whole family."

With that, Ryle's tears started to flow freely.  She had not have any glimpse of the girls face but by looking of her back, she had a slender waist, a very smooth white skin and a straight waist hair. A perfect match for Luke.

She already knew that truth. What she heard is enough. The reason why Luke never mentioned about thier relationship is that he already have a family. A wife, and a daughter.

She is already prepared to give him his heart, but he breaks her .  She immediately flew from Luke's building and decided to vanish completely from Luke, from his life, from his world.

Coincidentally, her phone rang.

"Ryle, this is from the HR. You will be reassigned effective today to our Hongkong Branch. All your travel requirements are already set. You just need to appear at the airport tomorrow, 8:00 o'clock sharp. "

"I understand Ma'am. Will be there."
Her reply trying to sound unbothered.

With that,  she broke into tears once again. This time, she allowed herself to cry, to let out the hurt she was feeling inside, to let go of the love she nurtures the moment she set eyes on Luke.

But, can that love vanishes that quickly as she also disappears from Luke's life completely?

While lost on her thoughts, her phone rang once again. She tried to answer confidently without looking the caller  even though she's still shaking.

"He-hello?" While wiping her tears using the back of her hands.

"Ryle, its me, Luke. Are you okay, what happened? Where are you?"He sounded so worried and  concerned.

"Oh, no..I mean nothing...yes?"

"What do you mean yes? "

"Why do you ...call... Luke?"
Why do you still bother calling me when in fact, I am nothing but lies to your life. Why have you played with me? Why you came into my boring life? Why I allowed you to to stay in my heart and mind?Why I love you so much?She secretly asked.

"Oh, yeah. Baby, I will be having a trip to the US and will fly in thirty minutes. Will you be fine? Promise me you'll take care of yourself. I'll see you when I  get back here okay?"

"Okay."

"Hey, I will miss you. Ryle?"

She don't want to hear from him anymore. She dropped the call and cried like there's no tomorrow.

She will start her tomorrow without Luke, like she had not met him all along, like , like she had not loved at all.
