Liz's POV

I heard a loud sharp thud and several people screaming. I let go of Emily and started running down the stairs, at the bottom of which was waiting for Amanda, who was lying on the floor.

"Is she the princess?" A girl asked.

"Maybe." A boy said.

"Amanda! Call an ambulance!" I screamed after I ran down the ladder crying. I laid her head on my lap. "Amanda? Do you hear me? This is my fault!" I whispered and I clenched my fists.

The bleeding wound on her forehead was taken care of by the porter quickly while James came here to see what had happened.

"What the heck!" He said when he saw her, and ambulance is arrived at this moment.

"Everyone go back!" The man said.

"Jorge is this a princess?" The other man asked.

"It isn't important now." Jorge said and examined Amanda after I stand up. "We need to bring her in for further testing. Do you have a relative here?"

"I'm her uncle." James said.

"You come with us and the others go back to their room." Jorge said.

"I'm going too." I said resolutely.

"Who are you?" The unknown man asked.

"She is her sister." James lied. I frowned.

"Let's go." Jorge said.

We headed to the hospital with the ambulance car. I looked at her face with cried eyes and I squeezed her hand all the way.

"It was my fault. I shouted at her. I told her things which I shouldn't have. If we don't quarrel it won't happen." I whispered in the hallway of the hospital, leaning my head against the wall.

The door opened and the doctor came out of it.

"What's up doctor?" James asked in serious voice.

"The blow to her head had to be sewn. Besides, she is in a fairly fortunate position as none of her bones have been broken. That there would be a rupture of any tape we cannot establish only if she has already risen." He said.

"Is it good, isn't it?" I asked.

"Since she hasn't had to get up yet, this bad enough news. She may have a concussion. Unfortunately, the CT of the skull doesn't show this so we can only be sure of it when she will wake up." He said. I stared at him with wide eyes.

"Will she not have any...lasting damage, will she?" James asked and paused for a moment. The doctor sighed.

"The sooner she wakes up the lower the chances for this." He said.

"Can I go in?" I asked.

The doctor opened his mouth but could not say anything because he was addressed by a nurse.

"The machines indicated." She said and went to Amanda's room.

"Excuse me." He said and followed the nurse.

James and I looked at each other in fright. We sat nervously in our chair while my hand almost pounded the wall from the nervousness of what had happened. I knew I couldn't go in. The doctor suddenly came out.

"Amanda woke up." I put my hand on my heart in joy.

"And?" James asked as if she knew it wasn't over here.

"Her behavior is a bit confusing, but this is normal at times. It will get better later. If you want to see her, don't talk about topics that might upset her. She needs calm." He said.
