"MARCUS HURRY UP." I yell from the kitchen. I look over to beau and roll my eyes.

"I'll go get him." Beau says as he walks upstairs to Marcus' room.

"Wow, don't you look nice." My mom says as she and my dad enter the kitchen. "Thank you." I say doing a 360.

"That's what you are wearing?" My dad asks. Marley turns her head and gives him a deadly glare. "I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it. It's just you don't usually dress like that." My dad says trying to redeem himself.

"Ash honey you're not making it any better." Marley says to him.

"What time are you coming home?" Marley asks as she sits down on the island.

"Actually I'm gonna spend the night at Missy's." I say motioning to my duffel bag on the floor. My dad and mom both look at each other. It's almost like they are talking to each other with their minds.

"Okay, what?" I say growing annoyed. "It's just are you sure that is the best idea honey." My dad asks.

"I think I'll be fine you guys." I say to both of them "Okay." Marley tells me.

"In that case, if you are spending the night that means we have to go  over som-"
"Oh, my gosh dad please I'm not a child." I say interrupting him.

"We have to go over the ground rules." He says as I roll my eyes. "No drunk driving Hadley okay I'm am trusting you and beau with the car." He says to me.

"I would never drink and drive dad plus I'm not drinking tonight." I say defending myself.  "You never know plans change." He says to me.

"Okay, any more rules dad?" I say chuckling.

"No drugs. Well no hard drugs, and watch over your brother you are his older sister make sure nothing bad happens to him." He says to me.

"Okay is that it or is there more." I ask him. He looks over at my Marley to see if she wants to add anything.

"Ohh if you are going to have sex honey please use protection." She says putting her hand on top of mine.

"Mom oh my god." I say cringing at my parents.

"No, she is right honey STDS ruin your life." My dad says agreeing with her.

"Normal parents don't do this." I say motioning to them.

"We are just saying honey we know you are sexually active or at least you were." She continues. I start to shift in place.

"This is not happening. I can't believe we are having this convo right now." I say out loud.

My mom is still continuing in the background as I grow more and more uncomfortable. "BEAU CAN YOU PLEASE HURRY UP." I yell interrupting my mom while she was somewhere along the lines talking about chlamydia.

I look over and see beau and Marcus walking into the kitchen. I stand up from the chair and grab my bag off the floor.

"Oh my god thank god. Why did you guys take so long?" I say to Beau. "Sorry, it wasn't me it was your brother over here." He says putting his arm around my shoulder.

"You left me alone while I had a very horrible sex talk with my parents." I say whispering to him.
"Damn sorry I missed that." He says sarcastically.

"Alright mom dad we are leaving now see y'all tomorrow." I wave to them both.

"Bye, mom and dad." Marcus says as he gives both of them a hug. "Please be safe you guys." My mom yells as we are walking out the door.
