I tapped my foot impatiently waiting for the doctor to return.

Emma gave my hand a small squeeze and I raise my head to look at her. "He's gonna be fine Ashley"

After the ambulance took Zack, I got a ride with Max and Emma to the hospital. We've all been waiting for an update for almost 4 hours.

The police had also arrived at the scene after many passing by, called them saying they witnessed gang activities.

The officers were questioning everybody there for a while. They began asking me questions about who shot Zack and if he's ever been in a gang related issue. Phoenix and my brothers as well as the other members of Rebels had already left before the police arrived.

"This should keep you sane for the next hour" Josh handed me a cup of coffee. I took it, thanking him as I took a sip.

He takes a seat in the empty space besides me as he stares into his phone. I look down at my blood stained hands as I take a shaky breath.

"I know it's not my business but what's gonna happen to Rebels? I mean they can't just turn on him right?" I ask Josh as his head snaps up to look at me.

"I guess when he wakes up we'll know for sure until then, it's hard to say" He shrugs.

"And what about Curtis?" I ask.

He takes a deep breath. "He's being taken care of" He says and I swallowed hard.

"Ashley, we've been here for almost 4 hours, maybe you should go home and get some rest" He places his hand on mine.

His eyes meet with mine, he clears his throat and quickly moves his hand as I look away. Strange.

"I can't just leave him" I state and he nods.

"You really do love him" He gives me a half smile as he stares deep into my soul. At least that's what it felt like.

I knew how Josh felt for me but I'm madly in love with Zack. Josh is really sweet and kind and I'm sure he'll make any girl happy. But why was he suddenly making me feel this way?

"I do" I say softly and his eyes scan my face.

"He's really lucky to have you Ross"

"You too Parker" I smile.

I take a bite of the sandwich, Alex had gotten me before turning back to Josh.

"You have a little something on your face" He looks at me amused.

"Let me get it" Before I can say anything his hand reach up to the side of my mouth as he brushes it with his index finger.

We stare at each other before I realize his hand was still on my face. I smile as he moves his hand, embarrassed.

"Thanks" I say glancing to see Alex and Emma watching us in suspicion.

"Ashley, can we take a walk real quick" Alex asks and I nod.

Alex and Emma practically drag me out the waiting room and to the hospital's cafeteria.

"You're so clueless" Alex says, as she fiddles with her fingers.

"I don't know what you mean" I say and they both watch each other. "What?"
