It's been exactly three days since I've spoken to Zack. I've been avoiding him at school and rushing home after.

He's messaged me several times these past three days and I haven't returned any.

I told him I needed space, what part of space didn't he get?

Class dismisses and I pick up my bag to leave. "Ashley" I turned around to see Josh.

"Hey" I smiled.

"How have you been?" He asks.

"Could be better" I say.

"Maybe when you get time we could talk... It's important" He says and I nod.

I wanted to find out more but Jabari and Cole appeared by the door.

"Sup Red" Cole smiles.

"Just heading home" I say and he nods.

"Josh, you ready?" Jabari asks and Josh nods.

We all walk to the car park together and pull small talk. We meet up with Emma, Max, Tyler and Alex.

"Hey Ash" Emma hugs me and I hug her back. "I missed you a lot"

"We talked just yesterday" I laugh.

"But that was over the phone" She groans. "Can you and Zack just make up already" She rolls her eyes.

"Speaking of Zack, here he comes" Alex points out.

He doesn't look at me, instead he focuses on his phone.

"We have to go" He says to the boys sternly and they nod.

Jabari and Max kiss they girlfriends goodbye before following Zack.

He didn't even try to talk to me?

You did ask him for space Ashley!

I stare at his car as he drives out the parking lot.

"Want to go to the cafe?" Alex asks.

"Let's go" I say.

"Good because we didn't have a ride anyway" Emma says and I laugh.

We all order and wait patiently for our food.

"I can't believe prom is in a week!" Emma exclaims.

"We have to go shopping" Alex adds.

"I haven't even given much thought to it" I say.

"What! Girl you better get your ass to prom" Emma says.

"I don't know if-" I begin but Emma interrupts me.

"I don't know what's going on with you and Zack but you two needs to go to prom together" She says. "That would be a moment to remember"

The waiter brings our food and we change the subject.

I drop Emma and Alex home before driving myself home.

I walk inside and my face instantly lights up. Trevor is holding Hannah in his arms while giving Stacy a kiss.

When they pull apart they gaze at each other, a short but mesmerizing moment.

"You're home" Trevor says, taking me out my thoughts.

"Yeah I am and you are too, safe" I smile and walk and give him a hug.

"We're gonna watch a movie, want to come?" Stacy asks.

"I think I'll just stay home, I should get some studying done" I force a smile and walk upstairs.
