I'm sorry for the late updates and my inconsistency but I lost my grandmother at the ending of May and it has been really difficult for my family and I.

I also graduated a day before her funeral and it has been really hard but writing this story has been my distraction and my way of dealing with my feelings. I will be updating more... expect 2 chapters by tomorrow.

I ran out the car, without saying "goodbye" or "thank you"  to Zack and run into the hospital.

Rushing and pushing past any and everybody in my way.

"I'm looking for Trevor Turner" I tell the woman at the desk, my voice shaking.

"Are you family?" She asks.

"I'm his sister" I say.

He's my brother. My brother who is in the hospital. My brother who I don't even know is still alive.

"Straight down the hallway, room 403" She says and I start running.

I run as fast as I can, my heels hitting the ground making a clacking noise and my dress dragging behind me.

My mascara is running down my face, and my bra strap keeps dropping down my shoulder.

I don't care about the way I look or the fact that my dress is getting ruin. All I care about is Trevor.

When I answered the phone Joanne went on to tell me about Trevor.

-----------
"They found him by his car, blood everywhere. He was unresponsive"  She cries.

"What? No no" I say, quickly putting on my dress.

"They said he mightn't make it" She practically screams.

"Ashley what's wrong?" Zack questions.

"I need you to drive me to the hospital, now!" I scream.

------------
"401"

"402"

"403"

I count before barging into the room.

My heart breaks when I see Trevor with tubes in his hands and nose, hooked up to the machines.

Stacy is next to him, eyes red and tears streaming down her face and Joanne is standing next to her as tears run down her cheeks.

Phoenix just stands there staring at Trevor with a blank expression.

"Phoenix, how did this happen?" I ask him.

"The Rebels" Was all he said.

"I don't understand" I say. "He was good, he was good" I begin to sob.

"Trevor should've known better" Phoenix said.

"Known better?" I ask getting annoyed.

"He should've watched his back and reacted fast enough" He said.

"Can you not!" I exclaim.

"What?"

"Can you not be Thorn's leader right now! Can you be a f*cking father!" I scream at him.

"Okay Ashley, let's come out the room" Joanne guides me into the hallway.

"This is all my fault. This is all my fault" I say repeatedly.

"No it's not dear" Joanne tells me, wiping the tears off her cheek.

"If he didn't drop me to that stupid dance he would be-" She cuts me off.
