Ashley's POV
I heard talking but was unable to open my eyes.
"Ashley, can you hear me?"
My eyelids wouldn't open and I felt myself shift in the bed.
"I think she's waking up" I hear Alexis said to someone.
There was silence then I heard Axel.
"Ashley?" He said softly.
I finally managed to pry open my eyes and blinked a couple times before my vision cleared enough to see Axel and Alexis sitting by my bed.
"I'm in the hospital?" I croaked at them.
"Yes" They say in union.
"How long have I been sleeping?" I frowned. "Where is Zack?"
"Almost a day" Axel told me, avoiding my second question. "How are you feeling?"
"Where is Zack?" I repeat my question.
"You need to relax Ashley" He said. "The doctor said you need to rest"
"I'll rest when I know where Zack is" I said and Alexis and Axel look at each other.
"He isn't ... Dead is he?" I begin to panic. They both stayed quiet.
"Axel" My lips started to tremble. "Where is Zack?"
"He's here" Axel finally said. "He was shot too"
"I-I need to see him" I try to sit up.
"No, Ashley. You need to rest, Zack will be fine"
"How are you so sure, he saved my life" I say. "I know the bullet still got to me, but it would've been worse if he didn't try to cover me"
"He's not awake yet, we'll tell you when he is" Axel sighed.
"Thank you" I say.
"Where is Mom?" I turn my attention to Alexis.
"She's here, in the hospital" Alexis said, looking away.
"What happened? Is she alright" I ask.
"She lost the baby, so she's in a state" Alexis said.
"Oh no" I say. Even though my mother is not the best, she didn't deserve this.
"Yeah, apparently she fell on the ground really hard"
"Can we come in?" Asher and Jax peeps.
"Of course" I smile.
"I should check on Mom" Alexis frowned before leaving the room.
"How are you feeling Sis?" Jax asked.
"Like I've just been shot" I groan making them laugh.
"Where's Phoenix?" I ask.
"You do know that you can call him dad right?" Asher asks.
"Yeah, but I'm just not that comfortable with him yet" I say and he nods.
"Well he's fulling out the paperwork" Jax answered.
"And Marcus?" I ask.
"He's dead" Axel said.
"What?"
"Yeah, Josh shot him" Axel answered.
I can't imagine how Zack is feeling, his father was the only parent he had left. And now he's gone too.
