Chapter 40

Tracey asks for an explaination, so that's what I do next. I say, "Harry saw the blackmailer's text where he addressed me as 'love' and so Harry was mad. I got nervous and lied to him, so then he fought with me over it. And yesterday when I met Niall, I was really worried and I told him everything. Then he cooked up a plan that he is going to convince Harry by saying that he was the one who texted me and it was a dare which was given to him by you."

I have lie to her to save my relationship. Thanks to Niall for the strong excuses he made though.

"Oh my god! That's a nice plan. I know these strangers are fucking up your life. I'll surely help you and agree with Nialler!" Tracey assures me. I sigh.

Niall's Pov:

"There is always a reason behind a person, lying. Perry also had her reason. You have to listen to me for that!" I say.

"Why will I listen to YOU?" Harry asks.

"Because I was the one who sent her that text. Yes it was me. I sent her the text and she had no clue about it. I addressed her as 'love' so she got nervous and out of nervousness she lied to you. It's not her fault. It was just a dare which I was supposed to do and she had no idea about it. Now, is it clear to you guys?" I pause, taking a deep breath.

"A dare?" Harry asks.

"Yes I was asked to perform this dare by Tracey, you can ask Tracey if you want" I say, praying that Perry would convince Tracey.

"Guys?" I hear Tracey's voice and turn around to find Perry and her. Tracey walks up and stands beside me. "Uh, I guess I know what discussion is going on.. Harry, it was me who dared Niall to do that. And trust me I had no idea that it's gonna take such a bad turn. I'm sorry-" Tracey says.

"We're sorry" I say. Tracey nods.

"Look it's not Perry's fault. She didn't mean to lie to you. She got nervous..." Tracey adds.

We hear the teachers voice and decide to leave the classroom. Tracey, Louis and I walk towards the door to exit. Perry was standing near the door.

The teacher stops at the door and gestures with her hand towards Harry, calling him. Harry comes up to the door. The teacher speaks to Perry and Harry: "Hey you two! I hope the painting is going well? You're left with a few more days to reach the deadline and I'm most likely looking forward to your's!" Perry and Harry nod at her but when she leaves, Perry runs away, past us.

Harry's Pov:

"I'll go, check on her", I say leaving the corridor as well. There has been a proper misunderstanding and I have to do something about it now. Its true that I was hurt when Perry lied but she's didn't do anything deliberately I suppose.

I find Perry sitting under the tree, in the school yard. Its the same place where we had talked to each other for the first time, during art class and had a weird fight in the rain. That day was bad, but today is going to be good.

I sit beside her. "You remember this place, don't you?" I ask.

"You mean the memories?" Perry speaks.

"Mm-hmm" I mumble.

"Those weren't very good memories, I suppose?" She says, still not looking towards me.

"I, uh, look I'm really sorry. I didn't know the whole thing...I didn't even try to listen to you. And I'm really sorry for that. I thought you deliberately lied-" I start to apologise.

"I don't wanna talk about it. Can we please not talk about it anymore?" She asks, looking at me this time.

"Sure", I say. After few minutes of silence I decide to speak again. "Hey, we need to start with the project, given that we haven't even started yet and the deadline is not that far so...would you like to come with me, buy a new camera?"
