Chapter ~ 7

"What's wrong?" Sam looks at me from my window.

Cody wasn't here.

"Nothing," I smile siting down.

He shrugs and starts driving.

"How was Mason's ass kicking?" I ask.

"He can't move off the couch."

"Wait you really hurt him?"

"Yep," he says. "I broke his leg,"
"What the hell?"

"I'm kidding calm down he's fine," he laughs.

"Ass," I say getting out of the car.

"Yeah I know," he pulls out of the drive way.
"Where are you going?"

"Pizza Hut want anything special?" He asks. I shake my head and walk in side.
"Cutie," Mason steps in front of the door causing me to stumble.

"God Mason," he holds me up.

"Sorry," he helps me back up.

"No I am," I say. He raises his eyebrows. "For assuming you were going on a date with my Ashton."

"Ah," he smiles. "You're so adorable when you're jealous," he pinches my cheek.

"Wow to funny," I fake laugh. "What'd you tell Sam?"

"What are you talking about?" He smirks.

"Mason," I smack his arm.
"All I said is that we have a special relationship," he shrugs.
I squint my eyes. "You'll understand later on," he shakes his head.

"Did you go on that date with that girl?" I ask.

"Nope," he bluntly says.
I nod my head.

"Ashton is coming over later," I tell him.

"Is she going to steal me away from you this time?"

"If she does I'll kick her ass," I smile

"Come on?" He makes a pouty face. "It's not like I'm getting anywhere with you, you're like a rock," he sighs.

"Do whatever I'm not your mom," I retort.

"Cutie calm down, I was joking," he laughs. "You're so uptight you just got to let lose," he wiggles his whole body.

"I've been in rehab for 6 months it's kinda hard to untenseify," I quote.

"Obviously," he says.

"I'm going to call Ashton," I hold my phone up.

"Tell me if she thinks I'm sexy," he wiggles his eyebrows.

I walk back to my room and dial Ashton's number.

"Hello?" She says.

"Ash," I say.

"Oh hey what's up?" She sound tired.

"Wanna come over?" I ask.
There was silence for a few seconds.
"Is Mason going to be there?"

Of course...

"Yes Ash, he lives here," I sigh.

"Okay I'll be over in five," she says.
The line went dead and I rub my forehead.

Mason and my mom were chatting about something I try to hurry into the kitchen without mom noticing me.

Fail. I Absolutely failed that.

I tripped over a squeaky toy. We don't even have an animal..
And landing square on my face.

"Jesus," my mom says.
Mason appears at my side and helps me up. "There's a dog toy there," he whispers in my ear.

"Really? I didn't see," I roll my eyes.

"Obviously that's why you were on your face," he laughs.

"Honey can I talk to you?" I heard my mom say. I look at Mason and he gives a sympathetic smile.

"Yeah?" I sit on the opposite side of the room.
"I'm sorry for the way I've been acting, I just wanted to know what happen and you never told me, and now I know why. Honey I'm sorry it didn't work out and I'm sorry that I put that much pressure on you in front of that guy you like," she pauses.

Mason stands at the door frame and smiles.

"Don't like him," I say.
"Oh sure, you're head over heals for me!" He laughs walking down the hall.

"Anyways, honey I'm sorry," she says.
The door bell rings and I get up to answer it without even forgiving my mother.

"Can we watch a movie?" Mason asks. Everyone looks up from our card game we were playing.

"What movie?" Ashton says getting closer to him. I roll my eyes and Mason notices.

"Hmm, one that I can snuggle close to Cassie," Mason says.
Ashton's smile falls off her face and looks at me. I had this really weird feeling in my stomach I could explain what it was.

"Divergent?" I suggest.

"What's with you and Shailene Woodley?" Sam says. I shrug.

"It's a good movie," Ashton says.
I nod.

I throw the movie case at Sam and turn off the light, grabbing my fluffy blanket.

Mason pats the cushion next to him and I sit down. He rests his arm on my shoulder and I get close to his chest. His hand slowly floats down to my wait and goose bumps run up and down around my body.

Ashton sits next to Sam, they sit awkwardly.
The movie starts and Mason whispers in my ear.

"You know I feel those goose bumps on your waist?" He says in a sexy voice. I look at my hip and notice my shirt is up. I pull it down a little.

"Perv," I say back.
"I know," he smirks

The movie starts, and I snuggle more into Mason's chest. Sam looks at me and let's out a sigh.
"You're like a warm teddy bear," say looking up at him.

"Thanks," he smiles. "You're small," he grins.

I didn't say anything all I did was face him.

"Hey the movies over there not over here," he points at the screen.

"You're better," I tell him.

"See, why can't you just accept that you like me?" He asks.

"I don't want it to move to fast, I think we're fine right here," I yawn.

"If that's what you want, anything for my cutie," he kisses my forehead and I turn back to the movie. "I'll wait for a lifetime for you," he says.
