lukes pov:
i hang up and push my phone to my back pocket, burying my face into my hands. this cannot be happening to me right now.
"luke? is everything ok?" alex says, i whip my head around to see them peering out from the garage door.
"we heard what happened." reggie chimes in before alex slaps his arm.
"everything is fucked" i say, tears trembling down my face.
"hey it's ok! we can fix this! right?" alex says, rushing over to rub my arm.
"she knows."
"what?" alex asks, his face growing into a worried expression.
"she knows that i'm a ghost, i don't know if she knows about you guys but she knows about sunset curve."
"shit!" alex shouts. reggie rushes over trying to get us to think more optimistically.
"at least she knows about sunset curve!" which earns a smile from me.
"she wants me to drop you all and get with her." i groan, slowing my breathing down to try and act more calm. "maybe if i just stop going to school she'll drop it?"
"you can't just lose your education because of brianna." alex reminds me, which makes me furrow my brows since i don't even like school.
"why don't we talk to the others? they can help?" reggies suggests, alex nods and i shrug my shoulders. i don't want to see y/n, it's not fair to her to sit through this and help me with my shit.
"maybe don't get-" i try to tell reggie not to get y/n but before i finish he jogs off. alex guides me to the couch where i flop down and roll my head back, looking up and the ceiling.
"so.." alex clears his throat. "she loaded you on alcohol to get with you?"
"pretty much." i respond.
"but wouldn't you have been able to see?"
"nope, i was so drunk i couldn't see shit."
"and she used it against you?"
"yep, gave me so much and then told me she was y/n."
"what?! that's so messed up!" alex shouts.
"tell me about it." i mumble before shutting my eyes to try and drift off which did not last long.
"the gangs back together!" reggie shouts. i keep my eyes shut slowly ignoring everyone, it's not like y/n came anyway. i try to get some sleep but my head bolts up when i hear the familiar voice that i'm so fascinated with.
"so what do we do?" y/n asked, a smile spread wide across my face but i quickly hid it, my eyes glancing over to y/n i send her a small smile when i see her eyes lock with mine.
y/n's pov:
something sparked in me when i found out about the whole luke situation. i felt like a weight had been lifted off me but my heart broke hearing what brianna had done to him and now she's using this against him. it made me feel a lot better knowing that it wasn't his doing.
i do miss luke, i really do. he was everything to me and i don't want what we had to end, he meant so much to me and for him i'm willing to do anything to get him out of this mess. but how could we when brianna, the most popular girl in school knows about lukes secret, would people believe her or some new kid that's just come here. unless we did something, something to keep brianna away from everyone that way she wouldn't be able to open her big mouth.
"it's all about popularity." i say, everyone turning to face me with confused looks.
"the only reason people would believe brianna is because she's popular but if we get you guys popular which won't be hard, they'll get bored of her and nothing she says will be believable. especially saying luke's a ghost, everyone would think she's jealous."
"y/n that's actually a really good idea!" julie states, everyone else nodding a long.
"better than all of yours" i laugh, shifting in my seat.
"we can start hosting events, the boys can promote it so it get's them popularity. we make the parties so good that everyone will keep coming back for more, right?" i begin pitching ideas, the others getting more involved.
"we can organise one now for this friday, have people start talking about. that way we have the week to get it perfect. have you guys got any songs?" reggie nods.
"yeah but we'll need you and julie to start practising." he responds, i shake my head and his face furrows up confused by my action.
"how about just you three? for now at least."
"that's probably best, draw the attention to you guys for now." julie states, everyone nods but the boys still seeming weary.
"but we're a band, you're still in it, right?" luke asked sitting up right now as he runs a hand through his hair. i turn to julie trying to see what she thinks, julie nods so i repeat the action. a smile grows onto luke's face before he sits back down to his previous position.
"i'll start making invitations, jules, y/n you're in charge of decorations, make sure this party is worth it." we both nod, julie buts in before flynn can turn to the boys.
"carlos and my dad are going to stay with my aunty, we can use the garage?" flynn raises her thumbs up, turning to the boys.
"you better have some sick ass music up your sleeves, go practice" she orders and they all rush off making flynn laugh. julie reaches her arm out to me, nudging me to notice the action.
"shall we?" she asks, a terrible british accent overlayed making me laugh. i take her hand as we head out of the garage.
"we shall."
