in early hours of the morning, the group of eight all sat in the familiar garage, yawns escaping everyone as the sun dawned on them all, decorations from last night lying all over the floor.

"ok so, last night was a success!" flynn cheered as the others joined in, pushing away the tiredness that was still in the air. "but, knowing brittany she will most likely try to say something when everyone is there. so i did my research and the next big thing is prom, so heres the plan." everyone leaned in, nodding along, adding their own take on the plan to not have the boy's secret destroyed. and as the hours creeped in the group were finally settled on a plan and were ready to make sure everything went their way.

everyone else began to become tangled in their conversations, keen to ensure their plan would work, yet the brown haired boy found himself staring at the one person in particular who had him feeling so many different things, he knew things would never be the same after the mess he had caused not only for her but for all his friends. he knew that y/n would never dare take him back, no matter how many times he tried, but luke learned to accept it, because he refused to hurt her again, regardless of how his heart tore to see her not in his arms.

it was as if the angels had heard his thoughts when the girl luke's eyes were glued to began to make her way over, finding a seat in front of the beanie boy, a yawn escaping her lips.

"how are you feeling? must be tough with this whole thing." the boy glanced up, eyes meeting with one another. luke so desperately wanted to tell y/n how he truly felt, how he wanted to take off with just her, but of course reality kicked in and the boy was brought to his senses.

"uh, fine i guess. just sucks that you all have to help me." the boy frowned, breaking eye contact and staring at his lap, fiddling with his hands to calm him. a warm sensation filled his body, it felt as if butterflies began singing in his stomach, the feeling was one that luke had longed to feel for ever, the same feeling that he only ever felt from his moon. y/n's hand's found luke's, her soft skin melting into his as she comforted him, the boy beaming from within, looking up to meet the girl who had him like this.

"hey, if we didn't want to help you then we wouldn't of." luke smiled at the girl, she too returning the favour. the two sitting in silence once more, comfortable as they stayed hand in hand.

y/n sat, trying not to burst in fear from how her and the beanie boy sat. her body too, oozing with heat as butterflies waltzed through the pit of her stomach. the way the boy could light her up amazed her, how he was the only one who made her feel how she felt. were they perfect? no, and that was clearly evident from their story, but yet the both kept coming back to one another, even though their story states that cannot. for the moon and the sun live in eternity passing by one another and never being together.
