Azia

Who even does that. Just casually locks someone in their room where they almost died.

I get up from my soft couch and I quickly go to the fridge. For chocolate? Yes.

Some milk chocolate with milk is how I want to spend my day. Relaxing with no distractions.

I look around the kitchen as I break a piece of chocolate and start to eat it. There's no knives in here anymore. Rude. What if I wanted to cut something up?

I look over at my locked door and then back to the window. It's night. I'm practically in my own element.

I laugh to myself.

I'm darkness now, fun. Can I do the teleportation thing Loki does?

I don't even understand what this means? What can I even do with these powers?

I don't want them. Why would I? It already gave me a king who wants to use me.

When you have something someone wants, it is almost utterly impossible for you to escape them unless you lose yourself while trying. And I'm willing to lose myself if that's the cost.

I'm willing to lose everything if it comes down to it but not my eye. I will not be walking with an eyepatch on my eye.

What could the king possibly want, if he already has a son who can do the same thing? Maybe he just really likes me and will ask politely if I want to be here.

"Azia."

Loki.

"Of course you are here. Did you somehow get in here with shadows? Or can you now casually walk through walls?"

It was a good, intelligent question.

"If you want to know so bad, you could simply try to do it, you wield the shadows and darkness. They work for you and you only, try it."

"Now I don't want to." I will not fail in front of him.

"The king wants to see you." He looks at me and smiles. "He wants to see you now."

"Tell him my whole schedule will be wiped clean, just for him."

He laughs. A genuine laugh that fills the room.

"I'll tell him that along with how much you want to be here. That you were begging me to see him."

A smile tugs at my lips and I let out a tiny laugh.

"I like that." He seems to say to himself.

"Don't get used to it, your highness. I'm about to go have the time of my life with your dad. Care to join me on this adventure?" I pull my hand out and he takes it.

We are traveling through the shadows. The darkness calls to me. I don't understand this.

We are in front of the king in seconds.

Only the king and Emrys are here in front of us.

The silence is intoxicating. It's unbearable.

"Hello dad." Loki bows.

That is new. I follow him and bow slightly.

"Azia Levine, how wonderful it is to see you again, so alive I might add." The king smirks.

Ha, so funny. Funny guy.

"Wow, I can see why everyone loves being around you."

Is that a way to talk to a king? Of course.
