CHAPTER EIGHT

Dinner disaster

Y/N slept extremely well that night, heart warm and content. She almost missed the feeling of sapnap beside her though- waking up alone was something she didn't favour after getting a taste of sharing a bed with someone else.

Then she remembered- dinner tonight.
Her face lit up- that was enough motivation to get out of bed this morning.

Well that, and the constant knocking on the front door.
She didn't even mind the fact she was in her pjs, hair a mess.
She swung the door open,
"Good morning what can I help you with?" She mumbled, groggily rubbing her eyes.

She opened her eyes, seeing George standing there.
"Morning? It's almost lunchtime!" He chuckled,
"Dream and sapnap are recording and I didn't wanna sit awkwardly in the back, you don't mind if I hang out here for an hour or so do you? The fans don't really know I'm here and I don't wanna risk exposing it just yet."

Y/N'S POV

I was quick to nod and step out of the way.
"I'm just gonna go get changed, your welcome to the tv, kitchen, anything" I chuckled, heading back to my room to get changed. I decided I'd just stay simple for the day, sliding on jeans and an oversized sweater. Casual and comfy.

I actually decided to look at my phone, seeing a couple text messages from sapnap, and a hell of a lot more from my parents. I decided to text Sapnap back first.

Sapnap: hey, good morning. Hope you slept well :)
Me: I just woke up LOL I slept great though. You?

I wasn't expecting an answer back for a while; knowing how serious he actually was online- doing his job. I thought about what he said, about me considering becoming a streamer.

I mean, it would give me something to do.

I quickly remembered George was in the living room, brushing out my hair and throwing it into a lazy low ponytail before heading out to sit next to the other. I let out a heavy sigh as I went through my parents texts.

He flashed me a smile,
"Sorry- I know we like just met. I didn't mean to intrude"

"That wasn't directed at you George don't worry- it's my parents" I reassured him with a chuckle,
"You don't mind if I call my mom do you? I've kind of been ghosting her for a few days but I don't think I'm ready to be cut out of the will-" I joked, hearing him laugh.

"I don't mind."

I took a deep breath, pressing the call button on my moms name.
She was really... really quick to answer.

"My darling you finally called! You haven't been responding to our texts we thought something happened to you-"

"Mom I'm fine! I've just been busy trying to get settled and what not."

I heard her let out a relieved sigh.

"That's great dear. Made any new friends? Looking into any jobs?"

I looked up to George, giving him a thumbs up as he gave me a confused look.

"Yeah I've made a few friends, I'm hanging out with one of them right now- he's a boy- no, no he's not my boyfriend- no mom he's- no we're not sleeping together mom he's- MOM HES GAY!" I burst into laughter, muting and turning to George.

"Sorry- even if your not it's the only way I can get her off my case" I apologised, hearing his chuckles.

"It's fine- it's amusing" he snickered, as I unmuted.
