In all seriousness though, if you like fairy tail or animation in general here's a story that blends the two almost effortlessly. But in short, someone has been messing with different universes...
It's a sunny day here in Magnolia where team Natsu is ready to take on another quest.

Natsu takes the request and reads out what the job description says.
Natsu: "Please help us figure out where these awful and destructive creatures are coming from. You will be rewarded 10 million jewels for each of the three creatures that are roaming around our area. Beware of their weird "magic" abilities as they use a form of "magic" we have never seen before and they are far more intelligent than your average monster. Their ability to pull objects from thin air makes them very unpredictable when you encounter them so stay cautious. "
Gray: "Well looks like things just got interesting, nice pick Happy."
Erza: "Does it say where we can find these creatures?"
Natsu: "Nope, it's just a bounty for the creatures."
Lucy: "That's weird. You would think they would provide some sort of information regarding their location if they requested a bounty for them."
Erza: "They must be always on the move which would make sense based on what we've been told."
Wendy: "I guess we just have to wait until they strike again right?"
Erza: "Unfortunately it looks like it."
Natsu: "What?! But that job request got me all fired up."
Lucy: "Well unless someone barges in right now claiming that they know where these creatures are there's literally nothing else we can do."
Luckily for Natsu after a couple of minutes passed by, Jet and Droy burst through the door with some news.
Jet: "Guys you won't believe what just happened!!!"
Makarov: "What happened my boy?"
Droy: "We were on our way to check out this new restaurant that just opened up to see if it was good enough for Gajeel to take Levy when we heard that there have been sightings of these weird creatures popping out of nowhere at the west side near Magnolia."
Jet: "Yeah and people are saying they have been appearing randomly via portals that have been appearing after a massive blackout happened nearby the city."
Erza: "Has the magic counsel been informed of this phenomenon?"
Jet: "Yeah they have, in fact, they enlisted wizards in Magnolia to help them out in the investigation."
Happy: "It's true, that's why I picked it in the first place."
Natsu: "And you didn't bother to let us know?"
Happy: "I thought it was pretty obvious by the amount of money they were paying for the bounty."
Lucy: "If the magic counsel is seeking guild members to help them out then that means it must be serious."
