I woke up with Scarlette by my side once again. This is the second day she fell asleep next to me and the second day that I could sleep peacefully without waking up in the middle of the night. I carefully removed my arms from under her head and pushed the covers off me. I got dressed in black button-down and black slacks along with black dress shoes. I rolled my sleeves to my elbow creases and went into the bathroom to freshen up.
I finished buttoning up my shirt as I walked into the bedroom. Scarlette was still asleep. I am surprised she doesn't want to get up and take her car for a spin. I made up my side of the bed trying not to wake her. I left my room and closed the door so no one would disturb her while she is sleeping. I went downstairs where all the lights are still off probably because it was the break of dawn. She is definitely not up at this time why do I act clueless sometimes? Ayden needs to get his ass up, but I don't want to go in his room because I might see things I have no business seeing.
I grabbed my keys off the hook in the garage and walked to my car. I started it up and my phone started to ring soon as the garage door lifted. It was my father.
" Hello, why are you up at this time?"
" Malakai, I needed to tell you that the Russians are on a move, so this plan of your better work, if it doesn't all hell, breaks loose and you will fall the whole mafia will fall with or without the Americans' help. They lost lots of men, but they are recruiting more and I suggest you do the same. You need a huge army to fight them off."
" Got it," I said and hung up the phone. I drove to the main base and entered the building. People are already here doing their jobs except for Ayden. I went into the training room and realized that there is only my men. I can't believe I am going to say this, but my father is right I need to start recruiting new people.
" Everyone listen up. I need new men and women on this upcoming mission. It's a tough one so I need everyone to find people who are willing to fight for their lives and will be committed and loyal to this mafia for this job. I want people in here before Christmas and if they aren't loyal or determined I will kill them off myself."
" Yes, sir," Everyone responded. I left the training room and went into the technology area where my hackers are to get information on the Russians. They are being very cautious about every move because they know that we are keeping a close eye on them. I have people inside the Russian walls watching every move. Little do they know I have warehouses in Russia far off into Russia that no one will find out about.
I need to look into more people's profiles to find some people to recruit and Ayden needs to bring his ass here, so he can work like he is supposed to. I went into my office and pulled up the link I had some of my techs sent me, so I can start looking into people's profiles.
