Loki wept for a few hours, he hadn't meant to anger Tony so much. He figured he had been doing a good thing, not realizing it was hurting Tony. That was why he'd looked so happy this morning when he was holding Gabriel, because he was getting to do something. Another wave of tears.
The Jotun had retreated to his former accommodations in Stark Tower, seeking comfort only to find none. His comfort was a downstairs. Still he did not go downstairs yet. He was on the couch when he heard a faint knocking.
"Lokes... can I come in?" Loki got up and opened the door. Tony stood there with a flushed face and tears in his eyes. Something between them left the whole argument unsaid, because just by looking at each other’s faces it was dropped.
Tony instantly mouthed, "I'm sorry I'm so stupid."
"I'm the stupid one, and I owe you an apology." Loki responded, aloud, his voice croaking. It had been his fault after all for the problem. They both opened their arms, and embraced each other.
"I love you, and I am so sorry for being so terrible about this. Anthony, give me another chance to do this."
"I can, just let me do some of the jobs. Even the little ones I am fine with, but just let me help you, I love you and you know that, and I'm sorry for snapping at you the way I did. You didn't deserve that."
"You know I did, had I not I would not have been crying about it for so long." They both laughed a little, because it had been true. "Come on, let's go back downstairs. I want to paint my nails."
"Wait, wait, wait! You want to paint your nails?"
"I'm not going to paint them any strange colors, I got a black paint last night for them, and a clear coated one. I figured it would look nice, me and Natalia got our toes done last night but I didn't get mine painted." Loki explained on their way downstairs. Tony went he arrived downstairs, there was crying from the Nursery, and though Loki of course fidgeted quite a bit he did not go for him. Tony took his time to the baby's room. He figured it was healthy for him to cry, he had to learn to soothe himself. Loki found his paints and he began to figure it out.
Loki was actually very good at it. He had few tiny smudges on the skin around his finger nails of course, but his fingers looked very nice. He showed Tony, who was sitting on the couch on his tablet with Gabriel in his bouncing chair right next to them.
"Those look bitchin'."
"Bitchin'?"
"It means good in Midgard terms."
"Alright, it's a rather strange one."
"Aren't all of them?"
"Yes." Loki chuckled a second then blew on his finger nails. "Oh, and do you want to see a trick?"
"Sure?" Tony responded and then he watched as Loki's long black hair began to grow short. It soon was short, like when he was younger, when he fell into the abyss. Tony's chin lowered to his chest and one eyebrow went up. Loki knew that in his mind, there were a few naughty thoughts racing around. He knew he was right when Tony crossed one leg over the other and sat up straighter on the couch. It was Loki's turn to raise a brow. "Hope you let it grow it back for the next time we have sex," Tony waggled his brows a bit, "you know why."
