When Loki woke up, Tony was in still in bed and Gabriel was sprawled out in the sheets, one small arm draped over Tony.
"What time is it?"
"It's 6:02, why?"
"It's early. When do you usually get out of bed?"
"Oh I'm usually out by now, but considering this guy is still asleep and we go to the lab in the morning, I'm still here." Tony explained.
"That's great, how about I wake him up and then we go to the lab?"
"Sure, I'm gonna go shower."
"Alright," Tony got out of bed, and wandered into the bathroom. Loki rubbed Gabriel's little arm, he stirred a tiny bit, smacked his lips, and continued to sleep, "Gabriel, little one, it's time to wake up."
"No," He said in return, snuggling up to Loki, "I'm sleepy."
"I get that baby, but don't you and Dad go to the lab in the morning?"
"Yeah." Gabriel opened his eyes a little, then shut them. The bedroom was still dark, but light would begin to filter in soon. Loki smiled.
"Kom på Gabriel, er det på tide å våkne opp," Come on Gabriel, it is time to wake up. Loki said, speaking in Norse. Gabriel opened his eyes, narrowed them, almost like he understood. Then Loki sat up and picked up Gabriel, he yawned and continued to sleep.
"Come on, let's get you dressed for Dad." Loki put Gabriel on the floor, and the two of them walked (Loki had to bend down quite a ways to hold Gabriel's hand, and even then Gabriel was holding onto only a couple of Loki's fingers) to Gabriel's room.
Loki felt ready to cry, it wasn't a Nursery now. They'd made it a bedroom and now his bed curled like a tree root out to form a mattress, the bed spread was green, with a doll of Loki in Asgardian Armor and Tony in his Iron Man set, he had shelves ready for books (Tony put some of the books Loki had been interested in on the shelves), a light, a fan, a toy chest, dressers, and there was the Yggdrasil illumination.
"Wow, your room has changed since I saw it last." Loki had left when it was a Nursery, a baby blue bedroom with Gabriel Ymir Stark written in cursive white paint, white crib, dresser, a changing table, all the things a baby would require, had been in that room.
"Pappa are you OK?" Gabriel asked in his little voice, clutching his Yggdrasil plushy. He'd let go of Loki's hand and sat on the bed.
"Yes, baby, I'm fine. What do you want to wear today?"
"Auntie Nat usually helps dress him," Tony said coming into the room, Gabriel said hello then yawned, "She knows exactly what to put him in."
"Well, I think Auntie Nat may still be in bed. Can I try?" Loki asked, and Gabriel nodded. Quickly, and with direction from Tony, Loki found all the requirements for an outfit. Gabriel was soon dressed in small jeans, and a red sweater on top of that, and small shoes and black socks to match. Tony smiled.
