Waffle Batter

"JARVIS Tell them we're about to arrive!" Shouted Tony a few minutes after Loki had hung up the phone. "Alright, hurry up. Be glad this floor is really low compared to ours!" They ran to the elevator and Tony clicked the button. Loki grabbed Tony's hand nervously. Pressing three times, (I love you) as he mentally prepared himself for the worst.

When they arrived, both of them stopped holding their breath. Natasha, Sam and Clint were all sitting around Gabriel's highchair who they had put tiny bits of waffle batter on his nose and arms. The two dads laughed as they walked over. The Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Falcon showed the breakfast they had made for them.

"Sorry about how the call went, Clint almost burned all the pancakes." Natasha picked up a napkin and started to dab at Gabriel.

"It was on accident! Sam was supposed to take them out."

"You were the one in charge of the waffles, don't you bring me into this."

"Alright birdies shut up." Natasha said very nonchalantly. "I've been listening to two different bird songs all night and morning." She said to Loki and they both laughed a little. "Pet superheros."

"I hope he wasn't too much trouble?" Loki started and got a nice smile from Natasha.

"He was the best baby ever, after that lullaby he was out like that," She clapped her hands once, "And this morning after everything had been taken care of he was perfectly quiet while we made the batter and breakfast. I'd be fine with watching him any time you needed."

"Wonderful, thank you so much." Loki opened his arms nervously and she gave him a one armed hug, it wasn't too awkward.

"Do you guys want to stay for breakfast?"

"Nah, we'll let you have him back. Better if we head out, gotta report back anyways."

"Alright, tell everyone we say hello." Tony said as the Spider and the Birds moved to the elevator. "Thanks guys!"

"Yep." Sam responded and they all waved goodbye until the doors shut. Tony and Loki then looked at Gabriel who had a huge smile on his face, he reached out for one of them.

"We hear you did really good Gabe!" Tony said getting to him first, Loki brought over some waffles for Tony and himself, with a bottle for Gabriel balancing on a plate.

"Here Anthony," Loki handed him the bottle and Tony sat down to feed him, "I was so scared."

"Yeah, it was kinda good though, putting batter on this little guy was the best."

"I have to admit that was adorable." Loki said taking a bite of his breakfast. "That Sam fellow is amazing for agreeing to help them, he really didn't have to."

"Didn't really look like he minded much."

"Yeah, do you want me to burp him?"

"Nah, I got it, mind summoning a new shirt and a towel?"

"No, but why a shirt?" Loki asked but instead of snapping his fingers he allowed green to swirl around his whole hand.

"Because I do think some of this is gonna end up on my current shirt." And sure enough, it did, so Loki with a great booming laugh summoned Tony a clean white shirt, causing the other one to pop off him before the other appeared, leaving him bare chested.

"Hey, let's not start anything!"

"Not planning on it." The other shirt appeared on Tony and he balanced Gabriel on his thigh while he cut off pieces of waffle.

"How about another day trip?" Tony asked.

"Mmm, it sorta looks like rain today maybe we spend today here? Take him down to your Lab or something."
