Tony and Loki stood at the crib, looking down at Gabriel as he settled his tiny self. When had finally gotten comfortable, Tony smiled. Gabriel was a week old now, it had been a very long week.

"Why don't we both sing the lullaby this time?" Tony asked, Loki blushed a little in the blue light.

"I don't know the words though." Loki whispered.

"Just try?" Loki nodded and smiled nervously. "1...2...3-" Both of them started out, it sounded odd but it did the trick for the baby. Tony grabbed Loki's hand and led him back to their room.

"I sounded awful didn't I?" Loki asked as he re-braided his hair.

"No, its just you don't know the lyrics. Let me find the song." Tony picked up his phone and typed in the name. A few minutes later he had found a lyrics video. "It has a lullaby version of some lady singing it and she's quite good, I'll play that next."

The two of them sat up in bed, Loki watched the lyrics scroll on the screen intently and listened equally interested to the lullaby.

"Did you know there was a lullaby version?"

"Not until I looked for the lyrics, I played it for Gabe for a nap one time this week and he didn't really like it so-anyways-you can go over that a few times if you want." Tony laid down on his back handing Loki the phone, but he put it on his nightstand and laid partially on top of Tony, his pale fingers resting above his ears softly.

"I love you." Loki whispered bending his head and kissing Tony. Tony reached one hand up and returning it. It seemed like little sparks were streaming from the two of them.

"I love you." Tony said back when Loki pulled away. Loki got off of his husband and they snuggled up in the blankets. This week had been slow, and they expected Gabriel to start crying at any minute.

And it did happen, after both of them had passed out the baby began to cry. Tony woke up first hearing it on the monitor. Loki shot up and was halfway out of the sheets when Tony stood up and walked hurriedly out the door.

"Go back to bed Loki!" He said as he left and he quickly was off to Gabriel's room. It was filled with different books, toys, a rocking chair, baby necessities, and Tony and Loki had worked together to paint a large tree on the wall and 'Gabriel Ymir Stark' in cursive letters above the white crib. The most prominent colors were the gold and the green they had chosen: Gold from the Iron Man suit and green from Loki, but the color on the walls was baby blue.

When Tony looked into the crib Gabriel's crying got softer, and he looked like he had either gone to the bathroom or he was just particularly fussy tonight. Tony lifted him out and smelt his diaper: Nope. He cradled him in his arms and made for the rocking chair, sitting down softly and setting it in it's back and forth motion.

Gabriel cried for a few more minutes until Tony finally started to sing the lullaby for him, the baby's eyes had grown huge and un-shed tears still sat in his eyes. When Tony had finished Gabriel had stopped crying, Tony stood up as slowly as he possibly could and made to put him down again before Gabriel woke up and began to get fussy.

"What's the matter little guy?" Tony looked down in the crib and found the reason: The tiny stuffed model of Yggdrasil was not there. "Oh are you missing your tree? Let's the two of us go and find it." Tony trudged out into the living room where it was most likely to have been last, and clung to Gabriel as he started his search.

Tony searched for what seemed like forever until he found the tree model and handed it to Gabriel. The baby instantly laughed in pleasure as he was presented the tree and squeezed it in his fists as babies do. Loki stepped out of their room looking troubled.
