HOW I FELL FOR A SELF-CENTERED JERK.
Chapter Four
"Come on, put on some of your new clothes. Let's go!" Charlie says, walking into my room.
"No. I'm not going to the party!" I say for the millionth time. I heard the door close downstairs. Dad must be home. Charlie's blue eyes light up with amusement.
"Charlie! Don't you dare!" I yell.
"Too late, Zare-Bear," he says, bolting to the door. I sighed, and sat down on my bed.
"Zara! You're going to the party with this young man!" my father orders from across the hall, as Charlie walks back in.
"Yes, Father!" I call out, and glare at Charlie. He grins, and then walks to my closet.
"Wear this. I'll pick you up at nine," he kisses my cheek, and disappears out the window. God, I hate him.
I looked at the skimpy sequin black dress, and grimaced. I took a shower, and curled the ends of my long brown hair. I put on the dress, and realized just how good this dress looked on me. It hugged my slender figure, and was fairly short, but didn't scream, 'SLUT!'
I put on some make-up, and cleaned my piercings, just like the guy said to. I looked at my large shoe collection, and chose the bright turquoise pumps. I put on a long necklace and bracelets. I looked at me reflection and smiled. I looked pretty, not like usual.
I heard the doorbell ding, and I grabbed my jacket and walked downstairs. I opened the front door and the look on Charlie's face was priceless.
"You look amazing," he smiles, and I walk out, hand in hand with him. Once we got to the party, we kind of went our separate ways.
I remember drinking drink after drink until I felt all bubbly and dizzy. But after that? Everything's a blur.
I woke up, and the sun shining through my window made my head pound. At least I was in my own room. I looked down, and I was still in my dress from last night.
As much as I hate to admit it:
CHARLIE: 1
ME: 1
