Milena and Eitri stood at the edge of the forge watching nervously as Thor climbed down a rope attached to the pod, to the surface of outermost ring of the forge.

"I don't think you get the scientifics here," Rocket said over the radio "These rings are gigantic. You wanna get them moving, you're gonna need something a lot bigger to yank em loose."

Thor looked up at the pod "Leave that to me."

"Leave it to you? Buddy, you're in space all you got is a rope and a-"

Milena gasped as Thor violently swung the rope around him, flinging the pod containing a screaming Rocket in circles above his head.

After a few spins, Thor launched the pod forward "Fire the engines!" he called

With a growl Rocket forced the controls of the ship forward and the engine blazed red. After being airborne for a moment, Thor planted his feet on the surface of a ring, a trail of debris following him as his feet were dragged through the ring.

Thor reached the edge of the ring, where his feet got stuck against the amount of debris that accumulated at his feet. Rocket surged forward, attempting to pull Thor and the ring with him.

The frost that had grown on the mechanisms allowing the forge to turn splintered.

Thor strained at the force being put on his entire body "More power, rabbit!" Thor bellowed.

The engines glowed impossibly brighter as Rocket leaned his entire body weight against the controls. From the ground Milena clenched her fists, nearly hard enough to pierce the skin of her palms.

Another yell from Thor, the frost splintered even more before finally cracking and breaking away from the rings. Thor was flung forward as the ring gave way.

Milena and Eitri stepped forward in amazement as the rings spun in around them. Finally the rings aligned and laid horizontally, the holes off the iris lined up perfectly and the star began to glow back to life.

"We'll done boy." Eitri said in awe.

Milena stood in a shocked silence at the colours that dance across her vision, she could even begin to feel the heat that the star emitted.

A beam of light shot straight through the holes of the fours rings. Eitri and Milena watched with wide grins as the beam hit the furnace.

However, a loud clanging noise echoes through the forge, the mechanism slammed shut, and the light from the star disappeared as fast as it had appeared.

Eitri sighed "Damn it."

Milena looked up at the dwarf worried "What happened?"

"The mechanism is crippled."

"What?" Thor exclaimed in shock from where he landed on the pod.

Eitri shook his head in disappointment "With the iris closed I can't hear the metal."

"How long will it take to heat it?" Thor asked frantically.

"A few minutes maybe more. Why?"

Thor stood up "I'm gonna hold it open."

"Thor no!" Milena cried.

"That's suicide." Eitri warned.

"So is facing Thanos without any weapons." Thor retorted.

With a grunt, Thor leapt from the pod and straight down into the iris of the forge. He stood hesitantly between the mechanism.

"All fathers, give me strength."
