Milena sat quietly on the bed that her room in the helicarrier was provided with. Already clad in her suit, she absentmindedly brushed her hair, thinking about the conversation she had with Thor the night before.

Thor knew exactly why Milena didn't use her powers and they barely knew each other. She was scared, scared of losing control, scared of hurting another person.

Milena shook her head to clear her thoughts, she flopped onto the bed and covered her face with a sigh, before getting up again. Milena checked her room to see if she was forgetting anything and left her room.

Milena stood in the main area where all the personnel were working. Even if it was only morning, she hadn't run into anyone worth talking to, and she was bored.

"Milena." She turned around to find the source of the voice and found Nat and Thor, "follow us."

Milena walked with them, "so what happened?" She asked as they turned a corner.

"Earlier I interrogated Loki, he plans to release the Hulk, we're heading to the lab to escort Banner." Nat said

The three of them were nearing the lab "Right. Do you think that Banner is just going to agree to-"

"I was wrong Director, the world hasn't changed a bit." Steve's angry voice cut Milena off. They all looked at each other and sped up their pace and quickly entered the lab.

Milena saw a gun part of the phase two project laying on the table, and blueprints across one of the screens.

Banner immediately questioned Nat "Did you know about this?"

Nat stepped forward. "You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment doctor?"

He laughed bitterly "I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed."

"Loki's manipulating you."

"And you've been doing what exactly?"

"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."

"Yeah, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy." Bruce grabbed the screen showing the blueprints "I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction."

Fury lifted his arm with a pointed finger, "It's because of him"

"...me?" Thor pointed at himself in confusion.

"Last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly- hilariously, out-gunned."

Thor defended himself "My people want nothing but peace with your planet."

"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled."

"Like you controlled the cube?" Steve retorted

"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war."

Milena looked at Thor in shock "a higher form?!"

"You forced our hand!" Fury snapped We had to come up with some-"

Tony cut him off "Nuclear deterrent! 'Cause that always calms everything right down."

Milena could feel the tension in the room thicken, glares were being thrown around, and voices were rising.

"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?" Fury asked

"I'm sure if he still made weapons Stark would be neck deep-" Steve was cut off

"Wait-Wait! Hold on! How is this now
about me?" Stark glared at Steve

"I'm sorry, isn't everything?" Steve accused

Thor stepped forward "I thought humans were more evolved than this."

"Excuse me?!" Fury raged "did we come to your planet and blow everything up?"

Everyone started yelling at one another, cutting each other off.

"Are you boys really naive" SHIELD monitors potential threats." Nat said

"And captain America is on the threat poll?" Bruce questioned with disbelief.

Milena looked at the people around her hopelessly, she could snap a persons neck without a second thought, she's been on so many missions with life or death situations. But what could she do in a situation like this? She grit her teeth and her fists were clenched as her frustration built up. She was stuck in a room with mostly men who weren't even arguing about the Tesseract anymore, anything she could say would likely make this situation even worse.

"Agent Jung" Milena broke from her troubled thoughts and looked up, seeing Tony and Steve barely a foot apart and Fury closer to Banner "would you escort Dr. Banner back to his-"

"Where?! You rented my room." Bruce gestured in the direction of his room. Bruce sounded even angrier, Fury wanted her to escort a mad Bruce Banner?! Why not get Nat to do it, she made him come here.

"The cell was just-"

"In case you needed to kill me, but you can't, I know I tried!" Everyone froze at his statement, Milena felt her heart ache

"I got low. I didn't see an end so I
put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out." His voice was full of anger but it was eerily a steady volume. "So I moved on, I focused on helping other people. I was good until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk. You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm?"

Milena's breath hitched at the sight of Bruce's hand gripped tightly around the sceptre, Fury and Natasha reached for their guns. "Doctor Banner." She said as calm as she could, he looked at her with rage filled eyes and she almost flinched "Put down the sceptre."

Bruce looked down at his hand, she watched as confusion spread across his face, as if he didn't even realize he reached for the sceptre.

It was silent for a moment before multiple devices in the room started making noise. They found the Tesseract.

"Got it." Fury mumbled

Bruce began walking towards a monitor. "Sorry kids. You don't get to see my party trick after all."

"You located the Tesseract?" Thor asked turning towards Bruce.

"I can get there faster." Tony stated

Steve intervened. "Look, all of us-"

Thor cut him off, his voice filled with agitation, "The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it."

Steve and Tony started to argue again, Milena's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, did they really need to fight now?

"Oh my god."

Milena walked towards Bruce to see what was going on but before she could ask, the room burst into flames.

A bit of a faster update today, I'm just excited to publish these parts.

However this chapter is a bit short and it's mostly a filler :/ next parts will be packed with more action I swear
